Nice hit w/ FAU last night....just got through watching this morning on DVR, was on the Owls also! Nice to bag an easy winner to start bowl season!!!

:00hour :00hour

I agree w/ Dr. Fade above, btw, Applewhite it a big time up and comer in the coaching ranks. Undervalued as a player at Texas and now undervaued as a coach by Saban. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Good luck on that Ciny Under....wasn't going to play any of the bowls today, but might take a quick look at it! :weed:

No love lost between these ex-CUSA rivals. Bower and the seniors recall the butt-kicking they received at home the last time these teams met.
Bower is very popular with the team. His kids should be ready to play. SMiss will likely attempt to eat clock with ground game and short passing attack. The SMiss TE, who is from SE Louisiana, is versatile---excelling as blocker and receiver. Cincy rush D is pretty strong, so it will be interesting to see how things play out.

I almost took them with the points because I figured they would be fired up to give Bower a big win on his way out.....just dont trust their offense enough, but I do think we'll get a vintage So Miss D effort, at least for much of the game, as the kids honor Bower. On the Under with you.

I'll be a car going up to northern Michigan. I'll be checking in on the game via satellite radio.

Pools

Cie, you are the man. A lot of pools due in the next couple days. Any leans on the ones you haven't weighed in on? Any at all?

Cie-Think I saw you in Kramer's thread defending UT over Wisc in the bowl.
Saw that you do not have them listed as a play.

So my question is-do you think they will win and not cover the 2.5?
Or, more likely, are you just feeling as if there are better plays on the board.

Just curious b/c I had UT in a pick 'em pool a little higher than I maybe should have...

Think Wisc D is too slow for Ainge & Co., but looking at Wisc's bowl history vs. SEC makes me wonder...
Thanks for the input & Merry Christmas.

Wisky has looked horrendous defensively imo, so a full stength Vols looked nice.
Cutlcliffe leaving is a concern. Suspensions are also a concern. Tough to figure
how Ainge will respond to blowing the SEC Championship, but I'm thinking he steps it up.

As for those who are playing Wisky citing their recent bowl success, I would
argue that under a new HC they are only 1-0. Barry Alvarez's bowl record
does not apply imo. Can't be sure without looking, but that's probably
what I was talking about in Kramers thread.

Agreed on Wisc D vs. UT O.
Hope you and I are right on this one.

2-4 in bowls so far. I've been killing myself playing action plays, so may try to stick to my original plays from here on.

GL tomorrow Cie. I'm 2-5 so far and thought I would be a lot farther ahead than that. Funny thing in jr11's pool Im 3-0-1. Just can't figure sometimes.

Changed my mind on CFU. Originally, I figured CFU based on lesser conference laying points angle. Looking at Miss St, though, its hard to think they won't be ready to go. While CFU is distracted by a rushing record, the Dawgs are all business. All the talk is focused on Smith right now, but I'm thinking Dixon steals the show. Still scares me that SEC +3 is available. Gonna play Miss St or pass.
