I actually did the same thing once I compared the payouts. L-ville not playing any defense, typical Petrino.

I have a new rule proposal for the NCAA:

If a healthy player sits out the teams bowl game for the NFL draft, that player has to reimburse the college for that year's full benefits. In essence, the act forfeits that year's scholarship. These are athletes on scholarship which includes housing, meals and training facilities. They have been given this tremendous benefit and then pay them back by sitting out a game for selfish reasons. It is also a slap in the face to your teammates. Lets not even mention the fact that these players have already dropped out of school. I hate this trend for many reasons and it just furthers the hypocrisy of the NCAA.

Where it is real F ing COLD
I recorded the game and watched it late last night. That USC game topped off a horrific day for me too. The fumble on the first drive and the pick-6...ugh....and yeah, that Northwestern game...ugh

So here's my morning. Been having car issues w the oil light coming on and making a rattling noise. A friend called another friend etc...thought it might be the cam phaser...whatever the hell that is...I can fix a lot of stuff...cars is not one of them. Anyway, I'm thinking hundreds, maybe even a couple thousand dollars....if that's the case, I'm gonna be w/o a car for a month or 2...ugh

I get up super early and drive it up to my mechanic and walk home. Fall asleep on the couch. An hour and a half later my phone rings. Hey man, you must have bumped something, your oil pan was cracked and you didn't have any oil in there. We fixed it and changed your oil. How much, I ask. Fifty-one dollars!!

Man oh man am I happy about that!! :00hour

Let's hope today keeps going like that....time to make my plays!!

You got lucky, you were a few miles from blowing your engine

Jackson might as well stay in school if he can, because no way he plays in the NFL. Petrino just has to throw the damn ball.

How many teams can I bet on that fumble on the 1 yard line. Instant replay is a complete joke in college football and Memphis getting some good home cooking. If Iowa State does not cover this game I am done.

Here are the rest of my college plays.

Georgia -135

Putting this in now as I have liked it since day 1 and feel good about the bankroll after Iowa State, which was my biggest bet of the bowl season. I am sick and tired of hearing about Baker Mayfield. Seriously, he is a good QB but not nearly what the media makes him out to be. This game is simple to me, Georgia has an outstanding defense, and as this bowl season has proved, defense trumps offense. In addition, they can run the ball very well and Oklahoma's defense is not that strong. I have little respect for the Big 12, so I think Oklahoma is a bit overhyped. If they can light the GA defense up and stop the run then more power to them and I will lose a lot of money, but I do not think that will happen. Maybe I am missing something, but I think GA will man handle Oklahoma, force some turnovers, run the ball and hopefully make Mayfield whine the whole game and then watch the media blame it on his cold. GO DAWGS!!

Bama -2.5 -125

I struggle with this game as I loved Clemson last year and they made me a lot of money. I am making this play simply based on Saban and his ability to motivate a team with a chip on its shoulder and get some revenge. I actually think Clemson is the better overall team man to man, but I just like the situation for Bama. How is that for technical analysis!

Auburn -9.5 -120

At first I loved UCF in this game, but after they decided to talk some serious shit, I now think Auburn will be motivated and shut them up. I love the UCF story and Frost as a coach (and love the fact that he stayed to coach, finally a man with some integrity). Hell, if I had a vote they would have been in the final 4, but I think a motivated Auburn team will push them around the field. If Auburn shows they should win this game big.

Not playing the other two games but I lean to Michigan and Notre Dame.

That is it. Thank goodness as I am a little worn out. Good thing I barely work!

I now have ML Parlay w Michigan/Wisky

I totally agree w paying back the scholarship. I also think players should get paid but even w the way things are now...yeah what a huge slap in the face to teammates.

I'm just tired of so much of it. And I've been screaming for years that replay isn't fair for so many reasons....and on top of those reasons, they get it wrong so often. I'm not one of those people that like human error and controversy...I just think its better and more fair than the replay system.

Hoping Georgia wins it all. I hate Alabama in there and I agree...Saban vs anyone and then throw in a year's worth of revenge on a last-play loss...Bama will prob win it all...which would suck. Baker Mayfield tough as hell to beat...gonna be a good playoff but yet again, how awful of a process....120+ teams and 4 make the "playoffs" and one didn't even win their conference? And an undefeated team isn't in?

I'd like to have 12...6 conference winners and 6 at-large...I'd be ok w 8 and I think 16 is too many. I'd also like to see every game played on higher seed home until the title game. Oh well...ncaa doesn't care what I think that's for sure lol....Go Wisky...just win baby...I do like that turnover chain though but not tonight!!

Agree TDJ.

Don't get me started on replay. I really hate the college system. They simply replay too many plays and it makes officials lazy and worse at their jobs as they know everything will be reviewed, which is even worse since they need 100% evidence to overturn the call. I wanted it at first but only for limited use, but now it is totally out of control and they take it way too far with what is needed to overturn a call. It really needs to be changed along with the ridiculous targeting rule, which I hate more than replay.

I am a huge soccer fan and VR has already proven to be a disaster.

Good luck the rest of the way and happy new year!!

Thanks Bason! Happy New Year's to you too!

I hate targeting too. There needs to be stiff punishment for guys out there who are spearing and hitting late, etc but sometimes helmets hit and its not dirty. We used to do tackling drills and guess what...helmets hit. That's not the same as leading w the helmet and/or using helmet as a weapon.

And "defenseless receiver"...its amazing but there are times when a receiver w the ball is "defenseless"....how do you tackle the guy if he's "defenseless"? Technically a guy can catch a pass and contort his body so that he's not allowed to be hit. And one last thing...if a QB is sliding or a WR is catching...the game is so fast...you can't predict that a guy is gonna duck his head or slide or whatever...I think ref's can judge what's dirty and what isn't or what crosses a line and what doesn't. Its just not a fair rule.

Replay is just as bad. You're right...the ref's don't always call what they see...they let the play go knowing replay has their back yet the call on the field matters. I've said for years that its not fair to review b/c if they call a guy down, then what happens after the whistle shouldn't be able to matter...but now it does...you're supposed to play til the whistle so how is a guy supposed to know if he's allowed to keep playing. In the NFL, all scoring plays are reviewed...but what about if a guy got in but was called down at the 1? That's not reviewed.

And then many times they just get it wrong...or, one subjective overturns another subjective. And ref's won't blow the whistle which combined w pushing/aiding the runner, its just turned into rugby. I swear, I can't figure out why teams get 1st and Goal inside the 5....Snyder has done this several times at K-St...why not just sneak it 4 times and let your RB's push each time. You're almost bound to get a yard every time...that's not football and its awful. But might as well take advantage of a bad rule.

Ok, gonna end my rant now. I'm sure I could go on and on...I love college football but really need some major tweaks....not to mention that the games take forever and so many delays including replay. But they know we love it so what can we do? I will say that I'd watch a lot less if I didn't bet.

Anyhoo--Wisky won!! Thanks for nothing Louisville but at least all I need now is a Michigan win Monday. Gonna roll w my Irish as well...headed to bed now and above all else...still really appreciative about my car!! I drove all over the place today!! So thankful :)

I heard an interesting viewpoint on expanding the bowl games... with so many key players sitting them out now it totally changes the teams and games. Players don't decide until well after the matchups are announced, and it would be multiplied with more teams. For instance... Rosen sitting out. What if Mayfield sat out... Oklahoma is certainly not a top playoff team. Something that did kind of alter my thinking on expansion. No great answer for that, but the playoff does add excitement.

Love it when coaches think they are so smart. Auburn has a month to prepare for a defense that struggles against the run, so guess what, we will come out throwing and fool them all! Makes you wonder.

Just run the damn ball!!

It is like they are treating this like a pre-season game to see what their QB can do. Part of me understands it, but certainly not the gambler in me. It is a very bad game plan for winning the game because all it is doing is keeping UCF in the game. Have to hope Malzhan wises up and abandons this.

Exactly, and Stidham looks like he's in a hurry with everything.

I just bet C. Fl +4 in game.

You can not cap coaching. Auburn came in with a hideous offensive game plan which has now given UCF all the confidence they need. I now think UCF has a great chance to win this game. Hoping Auburn scores on this drive and will add to in game on UCF and look for halftime play. Mostly looking to hedge out of my Auburn exposure since I also have them in a few ML parlays. I can accept being wrong if Auburn somehow turns it on, but I don't see it right now.

Laying off halftime. I got UCF +4 in game for a little more than half my original bet, so hoping Auburn can win this by a FG and keep ML's alive. May be wishful thinking, but I do not want to throw anymore money away on this game. Will add to GA.
