chagaev pulls out of the ibragimove fight....and is replaced by?........

HOLIFIELD?????

that surprises me.....more than a little....

does the old man have a shot?.......

I don't think so- Holy's reflexes will not allow him to get away from the fast straight lefts , wait for the inside props to come out and the line to come down. He'll be 45 a week from fight night- George Foreman he ain't

I added Johnson tonight for a substantial amount @-350. He's ultra confident, in good shape and apparently a level above wills. I'm a little nervous w/ the amt I put down. GL to me!

You got balls Romi, I guess there is some insurance there with the shape the two of them came in ...

A couple of unders I like... Juan Manuel Lopez. I'm sure Dianzo is a tough cat but 1 fight in the last 3 years? JuanMa seems the goods to me and it's hard to see Dianzo getting past the 10th

Tonight- Mercedes opponent has been stopped by lesser fighters

Box-

Would you be playing this as large or is it also to cover the previous wager? (i.e. would it be .525 to win .2, if not for the earlier wager?)

Marquez over Vasquez -260...lay 1.05 to win .40 (recommended play)
Vasquez over Marquez +230...lay .20 to win .45 (original play)

Just trying to figure out how large I am going to play it.

Also any thoughts on Diaz i-t-d and what would be an attractive price?...already grabbed a piece at +330 missed the +375, but it is still around +300 at pinny

Yes, the wager is slightly larger to cover the other side. If I didn't already have Vasquez, I would've risked about .65 to win .25

I have a small personal play on Marquez by 12 decision at +750...strictly a value play

As posted I have Diaz at +160 so I'm not looking for any more + money on that side. The inside distance prop at +300 is good value, but not when you already have him straight at +160.

Still hope Morales wins...lol

side note:....can this place get any better?....we have some seriously strong cappers...we`ve gone international(tony and zerwas).....and i see that tony`s also into mma.....

i don`t really think that most of these boxing forums on some of the major boxing sites are as knowledgable...particularly from a wagering point of view.....i see way too much nationalistic fan nepotism......

this place is primo,imo...and gets better with time....

You're welcome

I recruited most of these sharps from the other site I frequent, brought them over to a site focused entirely on gambling and free from all the trolls and homers that infest the fanatic forums. Not sure how "pickpro" made it through security...lol

Looks like the group is working very well togethor, as expected. The only guy we've lost is hellephant, who is very good, but he still posts at the other site so no biggie.

Well punch, it looks like I'll have balls or stone or possibly marbles for brains. We'll find out in a few hours. If Johnson is 1/2 as good as he boasts then it should be a clear dec win. I like the shape they are both in. Like Box suggested, I hope he isn't overly confident. I'll be more than happy w/a boring dec. I decided to lay off Ike tonight. It's tempting but I never was impressed w/the guy. Gl everyone!

he reminds me of a super middle kirk johnson.....when johnson was younger and in shape...

except without power.....he leaves his hands to low after combinations and slaps to much....

he fights allan green, who i`m not crazy about,i think he`ll get caught....

HUGE sigh of relief after the Johnson win. I didn't see it. One guy doing a RBR said he looked like sht but clearly won the fight. Like I said on that board, even if Johnson isn't the real deal (apparently he isn't) he should still have enough to get by the limited Wills. I thought -350 was a pretty good deal. Anywhos, I'm having a drink after that one. Lets go Diaz!

Its not that Johnson looked like sh*t...its more like Johnson acted like sh*t. The guy reminded me of Judah and Augustus at the same time. He spent more time talking, showboating, and looking into the crowd than he did fighting...seriously. I can't imagine being a trainer/manager/promoter for a guy like that, dicking around with everyone's money and livelyhood on the line

The sad part is, like Judah and Aug, Johnson is very talented. When he turned it up he dominated Wills, made him look foolish at times, just landing at will. Johnson's handspeed is unreal for a 6'5" heavyweight, excellent jab, solid defence when he's paying attention. He does lack punching power but his handspeed makes up for it. Johnson could've made a statement in this fight, instead he looked like a jackass giving away rounds to a scrub. This guy will end up being a huge waste of potential

I watched the replay late last night. He won 8 of 10 but I wasn't too impressed. His speed will give the plodders some trouble but he doesn't throw anything w/conviction. He throws more with the intent of not getting hit back rather than doing damage. He flicks his jab rather than snapping it. The talk of him being a young Holmes is laughable. Absolutely NO comparison there. His taunting looked ridiculous over a fighter of Wills caliber. He'll get by these C level fighters every day of the week but I wouldn't put money on him over top tier. He needs to be carefully matched. They should look at Fres for a step up fight.

I watched this god awful fight also. Johnsom/Wills. I don't know how you guys do it. This Wills character was just making me sick to my stomach. Every time he put this Johnson fellow against the ropes he wouldn't throw one power body punch. The two people watching it with me were saying the same thing. Then in the last five freaking seconds of the fight he lets his hands go when Johnson was against the ropes. When i see shit like this i never want to see a fighter like this again. The pathetic punches he would throw when he had Johnson against the ropes were just that pathetic. If someone was taunting me like that and i was having a hard time with the fight i might have kicked him in the nuts. Something for goodness sakes. Glen Johnson who knocked out Roy Jones shows you what to do when a guy just lays on the ropes. This was almost sickening to watch. Let your hands go Wills for goodness sakes like you were hitting a heavy bag. Best part tho was at the end of the fight when the announcer tried to say it was a very good fight lol. Save it bro.

I think Chris Byrd has more power. This is one of those guys (johnson) who will be around a long time because of his style but we will hope someone will kill him every fight. He will make a lot of guys look silly but won't be doing much himself. I like to see him fight Sammy Peters. See how all that show boating goes down. These other slow champs will have a hard time with him.

One question for yall today, is there any boxer worth the chalk tonight? I see a few out there tonight fighting that are quite chalky, any of them worth parlaying?

The best risk reward ratio is that the jesus chavez fight doesnt go the distance at -650.
Brown is two weight classes higher than he should be and he was stopped two times at this lower weight.
First hbo live appereance of Jesus. everbody knows what to do in this fight. I would be surprised if Brown tries to make this a fight.
