Broke my big toe about an hour ago.

Well, went to Lowes and got my bolt and 3 nuts, came home ready to finish the job and the nuts wouldn't fit the bolt :shrug:

So, I went to Menards (closer) and got 3 new nuts but made sure they fit before I left.

Answer me this shit. Why do some 3/8" nuts fit a 3/8" bolt and some don't? Stupid shit, I tell ya.

Got home and finished up in less than 5 minutes. Christ!

And I have to wait until tomorrow for beer.

Standard 3/8th thread come in 3/8-16 (course thread) and 3/8-24 (fine thread) I'd say you are trying to put a fine thread nut on a course thread bolt or vice versa? :shrug:
