I know, Johny Manziel was so much better

Every single stinking move the Browns make is destined to be a massive fail. May not be as bad as paying Dwayne Bowe 9 million to catch 5 balls but I predict a similar fate. So the real question is do they still grab a QB with their first round pick ?

QB play in the NFL is pretty bad right now. I personally think RG3 deserves another chance. Is he the answer in Cleveland? Probably not, Is he the answer anywhere? I don't really know. Not sure of the terms of the Cleveland contract but if they didn't over pay for him then who knows, I guess the point here is Cleveland has to start somewhere and there isn't much out there. If and it's obviously a big If, RG3 can return to his rookie form maybe Cleveland can build around him.

Washington gave up on him when they brought in Fat ass Gruden and maybe even a little before that with the Shanahans. He will be playing with a chip on his shoulder and will want to prove the critics wrong. Stay tuned...

If I were Cleveland, I would trade down in the draft, the 2 QBs highly talked about are iffy and not ready for prime time, the Browns could get another pick possibly from the team they trade with, at least that is what I'd try to do.

As far as signing RGIII, low risk, high reward imho. Why? RGIII got into the Snyder dog house, plain and simple and he alienated a lot of veteran players, but who the fuck cares? The veteran players ain't done diddly dee as Steven Tyler would say, and the Redskin org is by far a sham. They were fortunate Jerry Jones and Chip Kelly were/are running their teams in Dallas and Philly.

RGIII before and when he got hurt in his rookie year, left it all on the field and Shanny as much as many teams do not like him, got the most out of a rookie athletic QB with no pro experience playing against some tough competition, only problem is, it takes time for a young QB going from college to the NFL. Brett Favre, Troy Aikman, Roger Staubach, Dan Marino, Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, all had to endure their bumps the first and second season. In year 2, RGIII got a new HC in Gruden, a yes man, not a HC imho, at least he wasn't ready yet but he got the opp so there you have that.

RGIII has a new HC and new system in place and new front office, sure, going from MLB to NFL has not been done much by execs (NY Mets lost Paul DePo for the Browns office) and the other guys in the front office, you have to give them a chance because Ray Farmer was a joke as a GM, he's a decent talent evaluator and should have just stayed as a SCOUT.

Browns need to get some OL and DL talent and their skill position guys are not bad, but if you can't block and you can't stop the run/pass, how the fuck are you going to win any games? It's not going to happen overnight and if anyone has watched the successful NFL teams, they didn't turn it around overnight. It takes more than 1-2 years. Just ask the Patriots. Bellichick got fired in his first HC job. Shanny got fired by Al Davis, but Al Davis fired everyone! The Packers have had basically some continuity or lineage left over to run their front office, and for a short time the Chargers were ran well but they fell apart after Beathard left. Chiefs are building w/what resources financially they have. The Bungles for the most part have held it together and have been to the post-season the past few years. Ravens were stable but last few have fallen off. Why? I think their owner is a dip shit and the front office got lazy and allowing coordinators and other coaches to leave and bring in also rans ain't helping the Ravens.

Give RGIII and the new heads a chance, they may be onto something, but if you are expecting them to win overnight, keep dreaming!! They will be improved over 2015 for sure, but don't expect a WC post-season.

There's my 2 cents worth for what it's worth!

What's the talk nowadays, REFLOG with the Dawg Pound and such?

I know their is a new attitude with the decision makers if their owner will keep his fat lip shut and let them do their thing.

Anything you hearing?

Thanks!

More skepticism than excitement. I'm a fan for 50 years- the last 25 have been hell ( I was the Browns mascot when i was like 8)
Word is Hue is in love with RG, if we get Gordon back could be exciting for a few weeks if RG can stay healthy and Gordon stay out of trouble. Too bad we no longer have an O line.
Wentz will be here, there was more than the regular work out at North Dakota last week.
That is all for now, too many beers today!
Love reading you write-ups:toast:

I couldn`t agree more...I think it was a smart move, probably relatively cheap...that first year he had was a raging success by any standard....maybe that leg has fully healed in the interim.....if I were rg3,i`d have worked in the offseason on getting stronger and a bit heavier(considering the type of game he plays best)...

that said,if I were Cleveland,i use that 2nd pick to grab another qb.....qb is the one position where you can`t settle for mediocrity ..and you can`t afford a lack of continuity....even if you suck worse than a cleaner fish picking qb`s,you keep trying until you stumble onto something that works for you...the position is that important in having a consistent winning franchise.....

I like the guy...I hope he finds success....
