i did the same thing with game of thrones...watched the first two because of what i read in here and then went on a frantic run to finish the first two seasons before 3 started....

it was worth doing...excellent stuff...probably going to be the same with breaking bad(without the time constraint)....

entertainment guys in here pretty much know their shit...

I never bothered with TV since about 15 years ago but I tried Walking Dead because of these guys and love it. Then I did Breaking Bad and was well worth it.

You won't be sorry watching Breaking Bad.

Unless your entire review of a show or movie consists of just a link to rotten tomatoes.

I agree with everyone on Breaking Bad, especially my boy T-Hop. He's got it right. I'm looking forward to starting the show all over again since my fiance hasn't seen most of the early seasons.

The Wire is phenomenal TV watching too. I can't believe being from Baltimore, Jack, that you haven't seen that show! But I'm gonna guess that you don't make it out to West Baltimore too often

That said, the Wire, Sopranos and BB have been the most highly acclaimed and talked about shows in the last decade. If you've missed them all, well then, you probably don't like good TV very much.

agree that watching complete seasons is the way to go. I watched The Wire a few years ago and couldn't imagine having to wait every week for the next episode.

way better when you can just queue them up one after another and watch until youre ready for a break.

I did the same. I missed it when it was originally out. A few years back I caught a couple of reruns on Audience or something, was hooked after two shows. Ordered the complete DVD set and watch them all back to back in a couple of weeks.

I typically rotate between The Wire and Sopranos and watch each back to back when I have time and want to watch something.

I purchased blu-rays for season 1, 2 and 3 of Breaking Bad today. Going to watch 2 episodes before bed tonight.

I guess I'll try The Wire next.

I am starting Bad tonight. Will do the Wire next if this works out. Friend of mine just watched first 5 seasons of Bad in less than 2 weeks. I get the feeling it will take me a little longer, though...

I just caught up on all episodes of BB in 3 weeks. If football wasnt on I could have done it in 2 weeks. Really really good show!!
