I already said that I agreed with what garden weasel said that it is probably the smart thing to get blacks on the jury. But at the same time if you pick a juror white OR black based on the color of his skin its racism. If I were the defense team I would want Shaq and a ton of other blacks and basketball fans on the jury. That's not the point. The point I was trying to make is that I understood the tone of gardenweasels first post to infer that lets get the blacks on the jury and they'll do the right thing, the "brother thing." To which I may have misinterpreted and to which he later apologized.
As for you PUHD, I don't really give a chit if you are tired of this racist card. If you are only gonna give a chit about your ancestors if someone pulls the race card and not otherwise than that is stupid. The Indians got a raw deal. Rawer than any african americans got. I'm not playing the poor Indian card. My saying that was more of a way of me throwing my hands in the air and saying I give up. As for what happened in the past, I really don't give a shit whose grandfather was beat because he couldn't pick cotton fast enough or ancestors being booted off their land. It's in the past and all we can do is try our best not to make those same mistakes. From what I understand, I've got enough Indian blood to qualify for the schooling, grant money, etc, but i choose not to simply because I want to make my life, not have it given to me out of some 100 year old guilt.
As for the racist card BS, i've grown up hearing how bad colored people, blacks, african americans, or whatever the correct wording is, have it and how the white man drug their ancestors on a boat away from their homeland...blah blah blah.
