Dear RAYMOND,

In two weeks, I will proudly accept our Party's nomination for the Presidency of the United States. I will then travel the country to ask for the vote, telling Americans about my agenda to make a safer world and a more hopeful America in my next term.

I will win if you continue to stand with us in the weeks ahead. There's a lot to do and our convention is a wonderful opportunity to energize our fellow Republicans and draw to our banner discerning Democrats and Independents. Will you help me do that?

Will you open your home during the convention and reach out to your friends, family and neighbors by hosting a convention watch party on September 2nd, the night I make my acceptance speech?

This would help spread our positive message in a very important way. There is no better messenger for me than you. There is no better way to help us communicate our ideals than by sharing our convention with neighbors.

Will you help me?

Victory depends on all of us making every effort to persuade people to join us and then getting them to the polls. I hope you will share our celebration and host a party in your home.

Thanks again for all you do.

Sincerely,

[George W. Bush]

Man, it is going to be a bad hangover one November morning for the Neo-Cons when they awaken to the realization that they have lost the election.

Meanwhile I'll be grinning like Beantown Jim when he wins.

You and Kosar have really been beating this drum well.

Don't think anyone else in the forum has said anything about who will win/lose. Just opinions on various topics.

You two should try and get a hold of yourself. The election will be here soon enough.

Wrong. Must be another Kosar. The only thing i've ever said is that this will be a close race. That's it. And even that only in response to people predicting a Bush blowout. It won't happen.

My Apologies

My Apologies

I thought you said something more concrete in this post....

Wilson,

Is there ever anything in particular that you take issue with, or do
you just make generalizations as you're goose-stepping along. Have
you posted one opinion or original thought?

You're right that it's 'tough shite' for me if I don't agree with
this clusterfu*k of an admin, but it's quite possible that that
condition will only last another few months. If that happens i'll be
sure to remind you of your quote as you start bashing the new admin.
I'll be sure to point you in the direction of Cuba as well.

It speaks volumes for your mental state that you consider a chain
email that has been circulating for years and is full of lies and
inaccuracies to be 'post of the year'.

At least we can disagree

At least we can disagree

Iran Focus

On Sunday, August 15, a 16-year-old girl in the town of Neka, northern Iran, was executed. Atefeh Sahaleh was hanged in public on Simetry Street off Rah Ahan Street at the city center.

The sentence was issued by the head of Neka?s Justice Department and subsequently upheld by the mullahs? Supreme Court and carried out with the approval of Judiciary Chief Mahmoud Shahroudi.

In her summary trial, the teenage victim did not have any lawyer and efforts by her family to recruit a lawyer was to no avail. Atefeh personally defended herself. She told the religious judge, Haji Rezaii, that he should punish the main perpetrators of moral corruption not the victims.

The criminal judge personally pursued Atefeh?s death sentence, beyond all normal procedures and finally gained the approval of the Supreme Court. After her execution Rezai said her punishment was not execution but he had her executed for her ?sharp tongue?.

I/O,

Are we reading the same post? I said it was 'quite possible' and 'IF that happens'. In a coin flip, heads is 'quite possible', buddy. Doesn't sound that concrete to me, actually.

I was thinking the same thing. Your post didn't sound at all like you were calling for an easy Kerry victory.

I, for one, will stand by my earlier claim that there are simply too many stupid people in this country (based on the areas I've lived in), that I just can't see how Kerry wins the election. IMO, Bush has four more years to start unprovoked wars and push his radical ideology. I hope against that, and will vote against that (althought my vote is about as worthwhile as a future bet on the Expos to win the World Series), but I just don't see it.

All due respect Ray. I don't know if the country can take 4 more years. We may be in complete melt down and broke. The deficit is a killer already. It's a silent terror with out the bombs. You want all you worked for to be worth little or nothing because of these mistakes.

I'm thinking Bush will present a more "defend our nation" attitude than Kerry.
Kerry has the overwhelming support of the weak-of-heart,,can-we-just love-everybody crowd and he's going to have to cater to them.
Bush will bomb the Hell out of anyone who messes with us,,not that I totally agree with this, but lots better than the extreme liberals.
What good is a low deficit when we are weak and enemies are not afraid of us?
BTW, all the talk about the deficit and the economy,,,
I like the way we are heading,,and I LOVE THE TAX CUTS!!
Bush is only a "7",,but Kerry would be a "2"!

Well, I will call the election as a win for Kerry.

Does anyone want a challenge? You leave when Bush leaves - I leave if Kerry loses.
