You can save 30% buying a used vehicle in excellent condition, plus you lose the fees except T, T & L
yeah, but you just don`t know what you`re getting...what underlying issues are gonna cause you heartaches down the road...with a newbie(in exchange for roughly 50% immediate depreciation:0008 ),you get a 4 year 50k mile warranty....
it`s strange...the fricking alero ignition/passkey issue might be resolved....
when i put the key in the ignition, instead of just turning it on or moving it to ACC(like i was) i turn rhe key one more position to ON...i hesitate before engaging it in the START position....
when i hit the ON position and stop(or just pause a beat before engaging the ignition),i hear a hum inside the dashboard.....every time....and every time i hear that hum,the mofo starts right up.....
sometimes i can start it right up from OFF....but it`s hit or miss.....and sometimes it can take a long time fooling with it to get it to start...occasionally,it just has to sit for a good long time...and that`s very f-cking aggravating...especially when you travel in inner city neighborhoods on a regular basis...
now, every time i turn the key to ON and hesitate(there goes the hum),it starts like new....
it`s a very nice car...all leather,electric seats,two-way sunroof....fog lights,am-fm/cd w/ nice speaker system....rear window defrost...sporty alloy wheels...spoiler....
honestly, its a good looking little car... with a mofo of a powerful 6 cyl engine.....
if it just keeps starting like it`s supposed to,i`ll keep my $28,300 in my pocket....
btw....i was doing serious research on the net...trying to get a handle on what kind of deal i was getting from my acura dealer.......and it`s not a bad deal....the destination charge is legit($860)...and the same price i saw quoted in two forums(w/destination and before taxes/tags/title) was what my dealer was offering(roughly $26,4 & change)....
so they weren`t screwing me....
i`m beginning to believe that theres actually very little bargaining(at least downward) beyond what they offer....from what i`ve seen on the net, their baseline offer (at least to me over the net) was as low as they usually go....
and i appreciate that....
if the alero reverts back to shitty form,i`ll revisit the tsx....
i would recommend anyone shopping for a new car to make their first contact via the internet....seems to cut through much of the bullshit...
