$500 buyin NLHE 6-handed.
went well early as I was getting decent cards and pretty much dominated my table. At the 1st break (after 2 40 minute levels) I was sitting on $11k and change.
come back and early in level 3 i lost a $14k pot.
It's 100/200 and i have the button and it's uncalled to me with KQo. i make it $600 SB calls and BB folds. flop comes KQ6. he bets $600, i make it $1800 and he calls. turn is a jack. so we have KQ6J with 2 clubs and 2 spades. he checks and i make it $2500 and he calls. river is J of diamonds so no flush and he puts the rest in i think $1025 so i have to call with all that money in the pot. he had J8 (i think it was an 8. whatever it was he had no flush or straight draw either - just doesn't make sense he played and called all that money) and hit the runner, runner J's to hurt me but i was still about average. i get it back up a good bit but hang around average and several breaks later i look down from the button again and have KK. i just double raise and the BB goes all in. i insta call and he has A6 of diamonds. 2 diamonds hit the flop and scare me but the damn A hits the turn and sends me packing. there was in the 30's left from about 225 to start. i think it paid 30 places. LOL
