Ballpark, what would this kind of deck cost me? I have a porch on the back of the house now that would need removed.

I want to hire someone to do it. How much for everything?

Probably in the neighborhood of about $10 a square foot.

Go to Lowes and ask the guys back in the contractors section for contact info on some good sub-contractors.

Get a quote from a few and go look at some decks they built.

Ask for a price including materials and one with you supplying the materials.

Careful, there are a lot of shit contractors out there.

This is right where I thought and probably a little over my budget. I told the wife $10,000 and she

Is that for everything? Labor, rip out old porch and haul away?

Permits, disposal of old deck, cement support pads, pressure treated wood.....You're looking at a 5-6 day project......Looks nice though....:0008

Yes. I had one done at $6 a square foot, just a couple feet off grade with no railing. You should be able to get it done for $10.

You can save some money with a more simple railing and no risers for the stairs.

No, about $10 a foot. Mine has no railing and doesn't have all those steps.

I'm not counting the concrete patio on the bottom but you can get that done for about $6 a foot too.

25x12 both levels so 600 SQ FT total plus the concrete and then the steps I assume aren't in that equation nor is the railing.

Oh, and gonna need a doorway put in the second floor so you can access the top deck from the house.

When you say $6 a foot for the concrete slab is the price you would charge to do everything? Prep the ground, pour and finish?

And you have to add up the square footage of the landing and the steps.

Are you saying that deck has three levels?

in 6 months it will need to be treated w/Behr 2-1 enhanser and then stained..

a grand without even thinking about and more if the railings are all wood instead of the steel 1/1's

ain't building that bad boy for less than 10 grand

travel on down to HomeDepot and price those 6x6 pressure treated/weatherproof.

beautiful work there..ain't no jackleg contruct thaat..

but you can be damn sure one would try and fvuk it all up.
