Wow, dude! So you read "poor" and "Africa" and automatically deduced that their IQ is 70. That's just mind-numbingly sad AND wrong. Perhaps bleedinqpurple's quip about the KKK username wasn't too far off. YIKES!
And although it is highly unlikely that anything could alter what appears to be a narrow and racist mindset, I still suggest that you travel outside of your "comfort zone." There is a great big not-so-scary world out there that doesn't necessarily revolve around Caucasians.
As a side note, it appears that you are probably right about MLK and plagiarism. A seasoned colleague states that rumours about his plagiarized dissertation have circulated for a while, but she doesn't think that it takes away from his value to society. And Dr. Clayborne Carson responded to my e-mail fairly quickly. Interestingly enough, he does not absolve King of plagiarizing right off the bat, but instead states the following: "I've written extensively on this topic, including in my most recent book, Martin's Dream, which I urge you to consult."
So yeah, if you're right, which appears to be the case, what I find most troubling is that they didn't rescind his doctorate regardless of when they found out. All PhDs should be rightfully earned!
Peace!
