Is it weird to anyone else that the Ford Taurus is now considered an upscale care?

Woody - if you can aford a Enclave - you can afford a Lexus of the same year.........why not a Lexus.........:shrug:

Yeah. When she drove it by to show me, I was impressed. Had no idea is was a freakin Taurus. I like it, but the buick is really pimp.

I agree - I was in one on a day trip. Very comfortable and slick.
A friend of mine has a 2001 Taurus and it sucks - car seats are the worst, most uncomfortable in the world. It was a piece of shit brand new.....
Now it is like Ford decided to go ahead and start making decent cars.....guess they were tired of getting their asses kicked by Toyota and Honda - although now it is just a lesser ass kicking.
BAD NEWS, TIMING CHAIN PROBLEMS,............................................................... we did several replacements, many part number changes and availability of the parts was TERRIBLE in October, critical shortage of parts, that may have improved, I can check that availability at work tomorrow, but why bother check out an ACURA or LEXUS, we had a used Lexus on the lot recently, WOW what a nice plush interior:0074
Good news about an Enclave, if the timing chain fails it would be covered under the POWERTRAIN warranty for 5 years, 100,000 miles!
I would still look at the Acura & Lexus, and ask a tech or parts guy there about issues with them:0008
BTW, if you don't have a bad case of NEW PAINT FEVER, I will ask one of our techs if there are any other issues with the Enclave tomorrow and I know a good LEXUS tech I sell parts to, I can quiz him on the Lexus RX 350, if you are gonna buy a 38K vehicle new or used you should demand the best quality and value.
