Oh Yeah. Raybestes is just another brand name. Never pay for the most expensive they contain more metal and will just wear down your rotors.

You didnt answer the question if you would do it for 40 bucks. Uh huh.

if your going to buy brake pads please stay away from the wearevers and any other cheap pads. with all the problems on these trucks with warping rotors wearevers will have your rotors warped in about 10,000 or less. im speaking from expierence these pads are cheap but are very hard and build up a lot of heat. i have a 97 f150 4x4 and i have used bendix and raybestos with very good success. i would definately spend a little more now as it will save you in the future. on average and i say average, front brake pads should last about 50,000 miles if you have a premium set of pads. hope this helps

the biggest rip off is the chain mechanics like Midas that charge $129 for front brakes. I can put new pads and roters on your car for less than $40 ./Morris

!5 years ago front pads and rotors lasted 50,000 miles.Let me ask you what has been your expierence with the cheap crap they manufacture now? They don't even turn rotors anymore. It's cheaper to replace. How many miles you got on that truck and how many times have you changed them?

The average Joe can do it. He just has to roll up his sleeves and try!!! That's why they have parts stores.

A few months ago, my husband took our 1989 Volvo in for its semiannual servicing to a local dealer on Long Island. There were the usual things that needed replacement or servicing--belts, an oil change, general alignment--for which the cost was about $360, including parts and labor. But to our surprise, the service representative informed us that all four brakes were shot and needed to be replaced at a cost of $870. However, as "valued" customers, we'd get a $100 discount!

Now, if we hadn't replaced the front brakes only six months earlier for about one-half this quoted price, we probably wouldn't have thought much about it. Despite the car's age and mileage (about 125,000 miles at that point), we still hadn't driven it enough to wear out the front brakes in such a short time. We decided to seek a second opinion. And it's a good thing. After cleaning off the brake pads, the second mechanic found that we had, at least, another six months of wear before the brakes or pads needed replacing.:scared

It's good to ask. I love it when people have similar problems and they want the thermostat replaced. They insist because someone told them that's what it was. So I replace it and charge $250 and throw in the $5 cap for free. :mj07:
