Yeah the first time they actually had a playoff for it, but what does that have to do with this year. If this would have been BCS it would have been Bama vs. FSU. Bama a one win team would have had one win just like in previous years tied with many more one win teams and been given the National Title. Remember coming into season and Bowl season the Big Ten was considered chumps. Well they can say in the FIRST year there was an actual playoff Ohio State representing the Big Ten wins it. How many other years would a team have knocked off the SEC in a playoff? We don't know because title games have been handed to them and they did deserve to get them handed to them for the most part. The one year I was pissed was the year LSU and Bama played and a one loss teams was out. LSU and Bama was a rematch that year.
The SEC hasn't won it the last 2 years and you would have thought the conference was a pile of shit......Ohio State should be preseason number 1 with almost everyone back plus 3 quarterbacks who have won big games.....
I would say just as equally the SEC or any other conference will have to prove it can win a playoff and not just be handed the title game.
No I was just referring to BAMA being handed the championship game had it been the BCS still. Yes OSU will be ranked #1
i don't know where the conference is at. Everyone thought the BIG TEN was the worst. The problem you have is a lack of the conferences playing big games against each other during the season. Everyone just assumes the SEC is the best conference but maybe this year many of the teams were over rated. But But the SEC did deserve to have the title as dominant conference because they were. the historically have dominated OSU and much of the Big Ten.
You never know about that, as good as OSU finished off the season, I could still see them blowing a game or two especially if they play in Madison
That was the system everybody voted on and played under.....You could say that when Auburn was left out in 2004 while going undefeated...That year Oklahoma played USC and USC destroyed Oklahoma.....Every year there will be teams left out(see TCU)
