It's ridiculous some of the prices Vegas gets for these fancy restaurants. At the Bellagio, I went to Aqua in Dec 2001 and spent about $140 with my mother before seeing Cique du soleil's "O". It was great but very pricy. My wife and I went back (She'd never been there) a few months ago (it was renamed Michael Mina's), spent well over $200 (still great, but come on!)...Don't you love inflation????

Call Bob at the Sunset and see if you can trade him a t-shirt for a nice rack of lamb, hey it feeds two.

Vegas has become so "young money" hungry, that you can expect the higher prices to keep going.

If these dumb asses are willing to pay $300 for a bottle of Skyy at an "ultra lounge", then $200-$300 for a meal with no drinks is right up their alley!

Christ, even the Ho Dog went from .75 to $2.00!

Until the next new hotel/casino out there is not the "best ever built", we can expect high end prices to move the small timers out.

Jack-

Around 4 years ago I was on a business/pleasure trip and one of my responsibilities was finding a "nice restaurant" for our guests. The name Michaels kept coming up. You would never think that the Barbary Coast would be the place to plan that special dinner but this place was incredible! We hosted a dinner for 14 and they gave us our own room which was like sitting in someone's dining room. The service and food were unreal. I don't recall how much the bill was but I think it was in the $3500 range. I do remember that I ordered the Dover Sole which was incredible, but it should be for that price! If the company's paying it's worth a visit!

Doubt if Bob at Sunset would want a t-shirt. He must have taken 20 of them last year if he took one. He was hauling stuff out of there faster than Rex was downing Red Bull and Vodka.

seeing these prices makes me feel good, last time visited my favourite steak house the average bill came to $40 not counting drinks. and that is cdn.

your choice of the best beef barley, clam chowder, great steaks, or fish. and fresh baked bread. went to another place last week bill was $280 for two and was still hungry after the meal. :(

thanks
