missed this until yyz pointed it out. I'll echo the

You and hedge related?

And why would you ask that. I was replying to Tramps quip that I would be jealous of the teachers pay which he probably is to even to suggest such a thing. Appears as if you are the one under educated. I see your from Chicago. One might assume you would have some decent insight on the subject. What is your take Mr. Poon?
YYZ is just the local Mj's buffoon. Harmless. Dont mind him.

If you don't see that, you are in worse shape than we all thought.

The reason I suggested it is because you were out of work and to be honest I equate you to being a minimum wage construction worker. Maybe I am wrong but that is the image you portray.

jaxx sucks on the thumbs of warthog and king of kittycats, always has. I think you could be onto something. Maybe warthog calls himself jaxx because it's "Jack's place" where he can be stupid and get away with it, unlike in real life ? Hmmmmm.......

Perhaps I am uneducated. Guess that is a matter of opinion.

As for my insight its mixed. You will never see me talking negatively about a teacher's pay. My opinion on that is that its easily one of the most underpaid professions in America.

I guess I would side with the teachers but am still irked that numerous ones of the younger generation were celebrating the strike as an extra vacation and have been using it as an excuse to go out to the bars. A down bar business/industry in the city is happy for a little extra $ coming there way.

Now is it right for them to strike, that's another debate. At the end of the day, this school year is just going to go longer into the summer to make up the days missed. Feel sorry for the kids I guess if you want. Not because they are missing any education, that will be made up allegedly. Because they are losing part of their summer vacation though. Perhaps the tax payers should be upset about the higher school costs due to them going into the summer, I don't know.

They are likely to get something worked out tomorrow or over the weekend it seems. Then most of us can go back to turning a blind-eye on the subject. That is unless you really care about some of the things in the video that HH posted. But if not, then the story will fade into the background and people who think teachers make too much or are proud that they make so much more than them can carry on.

Really, so what price tag would you put on your children's education Hedge? Is 55K too much? Is that what your children's only conceivable advantage in their early years other than family wealth is worth to you? You want to know what is really fucked up is I pay those taxes too and I don't have any children in school. I pay for your kids education every fricking day and I don't think they get paid enough to not only educate, but raise most of our country's youth. Did you teach your kids about potty training? Did you teach them the social skills necessary to get through a school day and not be singled out or beat up? You know what? Teachers read to your kids every single day of the work week, you don't, so what price does that put on your worth to your children's futures? Certainly much less than the 55K you don't want to pay. Hell, you don't even pay it?

What's worse is that, as an employee, you broke the rules of the workplace that employs you with fraternization and you feel you have the social authority to set a teacher's net worth to society?

You are dead wrong, besides, Willard didn't make his money honestly like some working man with a lunch pal and a hard hat, he stole it from those people so get your information in order.

Hope that chips away at the crust,
FDC

I pay 6,700 dollars in property taxes every year to pay for teachers in my school district, I pay my fair share. My mom worked for the school district for 38 years and never made 87K per year and she has two masters degrees, I make more than she did in her best year now and I am only 37 years old, her teachers retirement is awesome, average of her 3 highest paid years for life. As far as Romney, I know he has a business degree and a law degree, very much a white collar guy and gave his inheritance to BYU university, over 200 million.

Obama is the biggest joke for a President in our history.

What the hell does this have to do with anything I asked you? So your Mother spent 38 years and mine spent 43 years in education. The difference between you and I is that I realize that this is a different era than the one my Mother worked in and I would not be happy with the wages my peers made thirty years ago, therefore I would not compare wages of the two.

The question is what price you put on your children's education and I hope you realize that if you pay that much in property taxes every year........you pay more than Willard did the last two years.
This is not about the President or the want to be President. This is about the price tag for your kid's education. This is about social ignorance. Do you know how many teachers have to put up with all the bullshit your kids and the rest of the nation's children bring to school every day?

Do you have any idea what it is like to raise 301 children through an entire year of their life in 9 months?

I highly doubt many people do.

fuck that won't help,

Isn't one of the problems with the Chicago school system is the kids are getting the education their parents are paying for? Haven't test scores gone down over the years all over the US?

Yes and unwed pregnancy and divorce have skyrocketed. So what do you think the cause is? Teachers or parents became less effective? I am guessing that the teachers have been doing the same lesson plan for twenty years and there is no such thing as NEW MATH only new parents in that time span. Yeah, I hardly think the declining test scores have anything to do with the teachers.

Hope that helps,
FDC
