Are you kidding me??????
This had to be the worst coaching disaster of the year.
With less than a minute to play - Den on its own 25 with no timeouts.
Any NFL coach would keep both safety's deep, even with a veteran at CB. Lelie is DEN's best WR. he had just caught a couple of passes. he should have been double-covered at least.
But to put a rookie CB on him with no help is CRIMINAL.
HC Butch Davis should be fired immediately. He said "these guys deserved a better fate today' -- YES, A NEW COACHING STAFF.
The coaches are acting like the rookie did the best he could to hide their guilt.
Disgusting!!!

DENVER? Even at this stage of a disappointing season, Cleveland Browns games are still not for the weak at heart.
Jason Elam?s 25-yard overtime field goal?his third of the day?provided the winning margin as the Broncos beat the Browns, 23-20, at Invesco Field Sunday in a game that will go down as especially heartbreaking, even by Browns standards.
Said Browns Head Coach Butch Davis: ?These guys deserved a better fate today.?
Down 10-0 early, the Browns rallied to tie the game at halftime. Down 17-10 in the fourth quarter, the resilient Browns tied the game on a 35-yard touchdown pass from Tim Couch to Andre? Davis?and the real drama was just beginning.
Cleveland took a 20-17 lead with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter on a 47-yard field goal by newly signed kicker Brett Conway. The Broncos were out of timeouts when they started what might prove to be a season-saving drive at their own 25.
Jake Plummer hit Ashley Lelie for seven yards, then again for five on the next play. With the clock under 40 seconds and rolling, Plummer hurried the Broncos to the line of scrimmage, stepped up in the pocket, and found Lelie in a single coverage with Browns rookie DB Michael Lehan.
The result was a 46-yard completion to the Browns? 17-yard line. Denver killed the clock, then Elam hit a 36-yard field goal with six seconds left in regulation to tie the game. Frisman Jackson?s desperation Hail Mary attempt fell incomplete, adding another chapter to one of the more bizarre and memorable games in the ?new? Browns? history.
Overtime.
