Not a thread about McCarthy but the giants have 3 timeouts at falcon 14 with 3 timeouts and they stay in hurry up, eat clock.. nope give Atlanta the ball and time. Just like Frisco late last week against Green Bay

NOTHING TOPS THE GOING FOR 2 WHEN DOWN 8.... HOW DOES SOMEONE EXPLAIN THAT?

If you?re Pat Shurmur, it increases your chances of winning by 50%
Because it is actually the right decision?

That?s if you are down 8 before you score

I?ll say it again to hell with analytics when ur defense is busting their ass to keep u in the game and U score and u go for 2 because of %?s Bad coaching decision by Pat Shurmur.
I think going for 2 and missing demoralizes your defense and uplifts the opponent's offense. They can play a lot looser knowing the other team's offense must score twice to tie the game........ I base this on watching games after a team misses a kicked extra point to fall behind 4 instead of 3 or 8 instead of 7 late in a game. It just seems like a team lets down. Just a visual opinion thru the years.......I guess we will soon see what the verdict is on this if gets repeated and how often. :0008
Clearly you didn?t read the article.
?If you?re down 8 points after scoring a touchdown (with 10 minutes left), you should go for 2, because the difference between being down 7 points (if you make the extra point) and being down 6 points (if you convert the 2) is greater than the difference between being down 7 points and being down 8 points (if you miss the 2-point conversion). Note that this is backed up by the numbers but should also be apparent intuitively.?
I would say eli trying a qb sneak twice with 0 timeouts and under a minute to play was even worse coaching
