Totally disagree with KFC at 9-7, Reid's culture in Philly surely will change in KC, however, he'll need to prove it day one with KC and an improvement of 7 wins with addition of Alex Smith and Reid as the HC? Nah!! They can win 4 games in their division maybe, but they aren't going to beat New Orleans like they did last year or any team even close to an upper echelon team. But I could be wrrrrrrrrr...rrrrruhhhrruhhhh.... Doubtful!! Very doubtful.

A lot to prove in KC!! Andy Reid will eat the town dry of BBQ Ribs and the orange chuckers will be aiming at his fat arse all season long in their 8 home games!!

The Heart that the Redskins showed last year even when RGIII was gimp, will continue this year and their talent in the backfield and receivers are much better than they were last year imho and their defense has to be better. Yeah they have a tough schedule, but they have 8 games at home and they do well in the nations crapital!!

Hard to see Cleveburgh with 6 wins too - they are a mess as Colin said, but they are a worse mess on the road, no talent depth anywhere except special teams.

Ravens at 9-7? If so, I'll win my over 8 1/2 on the Ravens, but I think Baltimore will win division again, even though they'll have the bullzeye on their back all season long including pre-season, I think the Ravens brought in some "team" players and they drafted well the last 2 years and their 2nd year players are more seasoned than many other 2nd year players with how they played in the post-season, that should carry over, as long as their players come into camp in shape and not eat all the maryland crabcakes they can before their first pre-season game @ Tampa on 8/8/13.

GL!!

Thanks JACK!! :0074

Since I met Colin in 1996, he's hitting just over 60% of his games against the lines he posts, he's 62% against the closing line. This is the only area he excels at, and that is the NFL.

Ryan did not.

Comparing Ryan?s New Contract To Flacco?s

When Joe Flacco signed his contract in March, he became the highest-paid quarterback in NFL history.

Matt Ryan just leapfrogged Flacco in almost every notable contract category with the new deal he and the Atlanta Falcons struck Thursday.

Here are the numbers, according to multiple reports:

Matt Ryan Contract

Joe Flacco Contract

Term

5-year extension (6 total)

6 years

Total

$103.75 million ($113.75)

$120.6 million

Average per year

$20.75 million

$20.1 million

Guaranteed

$59 million

$52 million

1st 3 Years

$63 million

$62 million

The deal officially makes Ryan the second-highest paid player in the NFL, and Flacco is now the third. Both quarterbacks trail Aaron Rodgers, who signed a new contract with the Green Bay Packers in April.

Highest-paid quarterbacks

Rodgers ($22 million per year)
Ryan ($20.74 million per year)
Flacco ($20.1 million per year)

Most guaranteed money
Drew Brees ($60.5 million)
Ryan ($59 million)
Peyton Manning ($58 million)

Some Ravens fans may be disappointed to know Ryan received more money than their quarterback, especially because Flacco has won more playoff games and has a Super Bowl MVP honor. But NFL players are paid for what a team projects them to do. And the expectations on Ryan are no different than those on Flacco.

?Matt is a franchise quarterback,? Falcons Owner Arthur Blank said. ?We?re not going to rest really well until we have rings. That?s what this is about.?

Every team that has great position players drafted them in almost every case....San Francisco and Seattle drafted almost all their defensive starters....the team must be built through the draft and the cap hits for those rookies will be fall below importing a star....this is a quarterback driven league

Lmao...1 playoff win and 4 playoff losses....so, that's a $100M per playoff win...falcants are a joke...perennial loosahs with ZERO SB rings.....
:142smilie

Let's face it. Ryan has not proven himself on the big stage. He choked with the two turnovers in the 2nd half of the SF game and basically handed the game to SF. One of the turnovers was a fumbled snap. Big time QBs do not make those mistakes. The sad part is that he is probably as good as we can get and at least we do not have the sideshow that we had with Vick. But we should not expect Ryan to take us to the big game. He finds ways to keep that from happening.

For the people that say Ryan can't or won't "ever" get us to the Super Bowl, How stupid can you really be? For one, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, John Elway, Brett Favre, etc did not win the big one till late in their careers and certainly not in their first 5 seasons. Ryan almost got there last year in only his 5th season. Dan Marino NEVER won the big one. Although he did have an appearance. Point is, you cannot assume that Ryan will never win the SB or lead us to a SB just based off what you've seen thus far. He is a capable QB.

Flacco should be pissed and demand his contract be reviewed.

Ryan makes more than Flacco :142smilie

Ryan sucks

Matt Ryan blew his chance last season when the Saints played without their HC. This year it's back to 2nd fiddle in the division for Matty "1-5 in the playoffs" Ice. 11-3 last 14 meetings...lol #notworththemoney

Where it is real F ing COLD
Well Fave won in 96 and his losses in years prior were to the Dallas dynasty teams. People always forget the caliber of teams he played against in prime.

Saints keep thinking they are the team to beat and now everything is going to turn around now the HC is back. He better be able to stop the run and pass cause their current defensive personnel can't.

I'll take Ryan any day. Didn't the receiver drop the ball late in that Niners game? Weren't there a couple dropped balls? Most of Ryan's playoff losses came to teams who were superior to his. It is a QB driven league but teams who win it usually have a strong supporting cast with an above average defense, the latter in which Ryan rarely has had

Ryan is a choker

he has done it many many times expecially against the top teams.

Falcons usually do not have a good defense and this year will probably be no exception.

NO thinks they have the division locked up this year

I dont think they will be that good.

Brees is due but defense is the same issue.

NO lost someone again today to injury. Not sure who

I'll give Ryan a couple more years before I call him a full fledge choker.

Does anyone think Jim Kelly was a choker?

Jim Kelly a choker? Anyone that can get to 3 Super Bowls is not a choker!! Anyone who can play QB in the NFL 10 plus years is not a choker!!

Anyone who survives jaw cancer is a WINNER!!
