sorry guys, was travelling this morning. Just saw they are starting Roth. I don't understand that logic, Montgomery should have been good enough to beat Kent and then you save Roth for Arky. Oh well, Tanner has pushed all the right buttons for 2+ years.

very interesting that 5Dimes doesn't cancel the plays on a postponement. I know there are no pitchers listed but I figured they would do that. Especially with a total play as weather from day to day can be a big change.

Adding:

Zona/FSU Over 9.5 -105 for 1 unit

5 dimes has been doing that since the regionals..i even think they kept lines alive during the regular season as i remember them not canceling my wager on LSU/SC game which got rained out on thursday and played on Friday.

After another 5 star perfomance i think Roth is under consideration for the greatest pitcher in the history of Ohama. Not sure what his stats are now in the CWS but i know they are absolutely ridiculous!

I think Montfomory starts tonight for SC with all arms available for relief appearaces

Really a tough break having Roth going and trying to get an Over. He is something else though, quite a stalwart for them the last 3 years.

Adding:

USC/Arky Over 7.5 +120 for 1 unit
Arky +1.5 -105 (vs. USC) for 1 unit

Montgomery going for USC vs. Fant for Arky. Fant isn't bad and should keep it close but still expect some runs to be scored.

Holmes vs Baxendale tonight. If Holmes is struggling i would expect to see plenty of tyler webb with Price also being ready to go multiple innings if needed. Arky needs a big outing from Baxindale then go straight to Astin with brandon moore having to pitch so much yesterday...they could probably bring in Stanek to pitch a few innings as well as a last resort.

Should be a good game tonight just as last night's was, playing:

Arky +155 (vs. USC) for 1 unit
Arky/USC Under 7.5 -120 for 1 unit

The fact that Roth is playing in his 3rd series definitely puts him in a class by himself. However, based on fewer appearances, as is the case where pitchers don't have enough of a supporting cast year to year, Dave Winfield sure could take his team on his shoulders!
Steve Arlin (Ohio State) in 1965-1966, I believe, put on the guttiest performance, stats to boot, of any I ever saw. I don't think Roth will top him for innings even with his extra year. Same with regionals included, and back then there were no super-regionals. Look him up and be amazed by the innings pitched and the strike-outs.
After a modest looking career toiling with the hapless Padres (of his 34 wins, 11 were shut-outs) he became a dentist. Not bad for a student-athlete. I think that's what they call them now!

For Sunday:

Zona +105 (vs. USC) for 1 unit - tough to tell who will win it all but I like the pitching matchup for Zona given how well Wade pitched his last time out vs. UCLA.

Zona/USC Under 10 -120 for 1 unit - Zona has some potent bats but I think this series resembles the games the Gamecocks played with Arky.

Some small future plays:

Zona +285 to win Bracket for ? unit
Stony +565 to win Bracket for ? unit ? I think this bracket is tough to handicap and would not be surprised to see one of the two ?dog?s on this side advance to the final.

Arky +300 to win Bracket for ? unit ? they are far from the best team on paper, but I like their make-up and if Baxendale could snap out of his funk, I think they have more than a legitimate shot at being in the final. Missing Roth & Randall from SC and Fla initially is a big advantage too. Now if they are to win the bracket, they will likely have to beat one of those guys in the latter games of the week, but facing one of those studs once is far better than the position of twice.

Florida +180 to win CWS for 1 unit ? nothing flashy here, just feel like these guys returned essentially the whole crew from the runner up club of a year ago and will now be able to hoist the trophy.

UCLA +335 to win CWS for ? unit ? Boyd Nation has them as the odds on favorite in his computations. Given that, figure at +335 a good value.

1-4 on these for -1.08 units only getting the Zona future. Close to getting that Arky one to get positive, but oh well.

2-0 on the night getting both plays as Wade pitches another great game and Koumas falters early.

Updated CWS Record: 15-13 for +4.38 units

That's some good info there. 20 K's in a 15 inning performance. :scared - you were right, looking at his career stats is pretty amazing. Surprised he didn't have a better pro career.

Two small ones for today:

S. Carolina +1 -134 (vs. Zona) for 1/2 unit - with Roth going, even on 3 days rest, it should be a close game.

USC/Zona Under 9.5 -130 for 1/2 unit - wind should be blowing in again and I expect another tight game.
