Last year of the alleged dead ball in college with change coming next season. So one more year of pitchers not being badly hurt by just putting the ball in play and having their D behind them play solid. First plays of the year:

Rice +105 for 1/2 unit
Vandy -125 for 1 unit
Kansas St +155 for 1.5 units

2-1yesterday missing the larger Kansas State. Going with these two today as I think both have similar pitching edges as they did yesterday.

Rice +115 for 1/2 unit
Vandy -140 for 1 unit

0-1 last time out as UNC lost 3-1. For today:

Houston +145 (@ Rice) for 1/2 unit - Houston is a decent offensive team that has more than the potential to pull off this upset. Rice is the better all around club but they played last night, meaning they will be throwing a #2 midweek guy while Houston will be throwing their first midweek starter. Additionally last night's game was Rice's coach Graham's 1,000 victory so there is the potential for a bit of hangover from that.

Fwiw...Louisville beat Toledo today. Louisville starting pitcher from St. Rita..Toledo's from Munster

Things are going real well. Picked a great winter to move out here and get out of what you guys have been hit with in the midwest.

5dimes is basically it for regular season of college bases. Betus use to have lines but I guess they aren't doing it this season.

Indiana had a rough couple of weekends to start out the season, but they still have the most talent and should win the Big Ten somewhat easily.

Stanford +150 (@ Cal) for 1 unit - Cal just played a doubleheader yesterday down in San Diego, so not as rested as normally would be for a mid week game. Stanford has slight edges in offense, defense and pen in my mind.
