1-0 as Miami rolls 11-0. Will be interested to see if they continue to put a line out for the ESPNU game tomorrow with St. Johns/Ville.

Updated Record: 45-41 for +6.80 units

Just a heads up. Lsu will be without catcher, Ty Ross, at least through next weekend. His emergency apendectomy yesterday seems to have shaken the team. Rymes had pitiful at bats and worse results. Austin nola made poor decisions in the field. Backup catcher, snikeris, looked lost behind the plate, plus his throwing arm is not comparable to ross'. He will be missed next wekend vs carolina.

That's huge Cie, I think he had (by far) the best throw-out percentage of anyone in the conference plus the catcher can be kinda the glue of the team.

For Tuesday:

TCU +120 (@ Oklahoma) for 1 unit - despite Oklahoma's sweep of highly ranked Baylor this past weekend, TCU is a better club that is more consistent.

CIE...anyword on whether Gausman starts thursday or friday...was hoping to make my way to cola for a Roth/Guasman matchup...pretty sure roth throws thursday bc he has 3 times this year but on LSU's only thurs-sat series this season they held Gause till Friday.

I would expect Gausman to go on Thursday. I can't recall but I think the reason he pitched on Friday of that Florida series was just to keep him on normal rest/schedule as he had been a little erratic a couple of starts prior to that.

I dont know if you watched the Oklahoma game but it was a heck of a contest. TCU should have scored multiple runs in the first 7 innings but OKlahoma somehow help them to 1. Then in the 8th/9th Oklahoma had multiple chances to tie it up but just couldnt do it...2 on no out in the 8th and couldnt manufacture a run and in the 9th a runner got thrown out on a bang bang play at 3rd with no outs...then with two on and 2 out a very questionable 3rd strike was called to end the game. Fun game to watch...more so for you than me!

Cal St battled back, and finally tied it up in the 8th and had the bases loaded with 1 out tied 3-3 then tried to bunt the run home. Runner was thrown out at home and UCLA gets out of the inning on a groundout. Then for some unknown reason they leave one of the worst pitchers in their staff in the game in the 9th...Cardona...who has a 7.71 ERA in the game!!! Of course UCLA gets 3 runs off of that guy!!

Got to love midweek games!!

I did watch that game and you are right TCU did an amazing job of being futile. Many times they had runners in scoring position w/ less than 2 outs and didn?t get anything out of it.

For Wednesday:

Zona +110 (@ ASU) for ? unit ? Would like to go larger but not thrilled with the starting pitcher for the Wildcats. They are going with frosh Mathew Troupe who started out the season really well and was their closer for much of the first half of the season. He however is the one that gave up the winning runs in that 12-8 comeback win for ASU in the earlier meeting between these two. Since then he hasn?t pitched well in relief and is making his first start of the season tonight. ASU?s starter isn?t overwhelming either as they will send Frosh Darin Gillies who was the team?s Sunday starter until some rough outings during conference play. Gillies has sat out the last two weekends and likely will be a bit rusty. Given the suspect starting pitching, I think Zona?s advantage offensively will come through in this game.
