I'm not going to be able to make that Friday game now. I got 2 tix right behind home plate for that Sunday evening game which could decide the regional and the 'if necessary' Monday game. The $8 is great. The ticket office guy acted shocked when I asked if there was a service charge when I placed the order over the phone.

Lyons beat St. Laurence...Lyons only has one returning senior off last years state champs. Saturday they'll be throwing a junior (Lehmann) who last year in the state championship game caught the first 5 or 6 innings and then came in to close the game out.
Will definitely be there Sunday, probably for both games. Let's keep in touch via this thread and hopefully we can share a beer Sunday night if you'd like.

a buddy of mine that is big into h.s. ball was telling me about that Lehmann kid. Said he is just a pure athlete.

Today's starter, 2nd team AA lefty...Starn 1.77 era...112 ks/102 ip
Other 2 starters 8-2 and 10-2. Both have good k/bb ratios...61/14 88/36
8 starters batting .288 or higher
How does the MAC rate this year would be the big question...

Kent St. definitely isn't a team to overlook. I think they are very similar to Missouri State. They have the potential to make some noise, I just don't think they will have enough to win the whole regional.
