i went to my first college game yesterday. thanks for the tickets fletcher. :D

went to the mia/wvu game.

question:

no beer for sale? wtf is that?

do all college stadiums practice this policy?

actually, it was probably better because i didn't have to fight my way into the mens room every 15 minutes and miss any of the game, but i DO like a few brews at the stadium.

I trek to South Bend twice a year to see the Irish play.
Also NO FREAKING BEER either.

BUT,the Big House in Ann Arbor does sell that delicious barley and hops beverage:toast:

no beer for the Hawkeyes (well, legally sold, anyway) ..... but fairly sure that beer is available for the Gophers thru at least half time since they don't play in an NCAA facility :)

jack i go to most penn state home games, ncaa prohibits the sale of alchohol, that's why we do some serious tailgating before the games.the 12:00 games suck up state college , 3:30 games much more fun, next game you go to, sneak a few in. college football is a great time, my wife and two kids are hooked. we spend the weekend with my buddies family in his 33 foot rv.

Boilermaker--

You guys still have pass outs at the half? Must be nice. The pointy heads at Iowa were just looking for a reason to get rid of our pass-outs-- and Sept 11th was the excuse those fockers used to do it.

Used to be sweet, too. Out at half, head across the bridge into University Heights to a small store, grab a oil can of Foster's, check out the party and drink up before heading back for the 2nd half.

This time a year it is a lot easier to smuggle booze into Kinnick-- due to all the layers of clothing we are wearing.

BTW, the only three Big-10 stadiums I haven't been to yet are Ross-Aide(sp?), Michigan State's and Happy Valley.

Would have made it to Ross-Aide by now, but I've heard its a real dump and the crowds are really lame.
Buy me a beer or two, and I'll make the trip in '04.........:D
