college plays for 12/3 - 12/5....

as i mentioned in this weeks nfl thread, i will be in vegas (mirage hotel) from sunday until wednesday....if anybody will be in vegas during these dates & wants to meet up for a few drinks, let me know....the first 2 are on me....

went 12-12 last week....seasons record is....163-148 which is my worst year in some time....as i mentioned in my nfl thread last week, i usually finish up strong....hopefully that will happen again....

first play this week....

under 31.5 oregon st / oregon 1st half....

this may be the biggest game in the history of these 2 schools because the winner will win the pac-10 title for the first time ever & will play in the rose bowl....usually in these type of games teams have a feeling out period & are tight in the beginning of the games, so i feel that the under in the first half will be a good play in this matchup....

in looking at the first half numbers this year of both teams, the first half number i come up with is....29.5....but this number is for normal, no pressure games....as i said previously this is probably the biggest game in both schools history & the players will be under pressure they have never felt before....

play under - home teams where the first half total is between 28.5 and 31.5 (oregon) - excellent offensive team - scoring 35 or more points/game, after scoring and allowing 30 pts or more last game....

since 1992 the record for this system is....29-5....85.3%....

the average first half total posted in these games was....29.9....the average first half total score in these games was....23.1....

the system's record this season is....3-0....100%....

over the last 3 seasons the system's record is....11-1....91.6%....

thanks guys....it would be great to meet up with you guys in vegas....& miss the superbowl parties that jack used to have....

bbc....the mirage offered me a complimentary 3 night stay at their hotel....it was too godd to pass up....they also offered me the same deal during super bowl weekend & not sure if i will be able to go but booked anyway....and btw...all it takes is planning to retire early....

w. kentucky+8(120)....

ark. st. has been very disappointing this year because they came into the season expecting to compete for a sun belt title....instead, they have a 3-8 record & 2-5 in sun belt play.....in addition they are winless on the road this year & losers of 18 of their last 20 on the road....

on the other hand eventhough w. kentucky is 0-11 this year they have been playing very tough football since their popular head coach was fired (will leave at the end of the year) & have covered the 3 games since the announcement of the firing....in those 3 games they have been outgained by only 57 ypg despite being dogs of 24,21, & 14 points....

i expect another inspirational game from w. kentucky & a su win will not surprise me....

went 1-1 yesterday....

this is who i have so far for tomorrow....

clemson+1....

imo clemson is the better rounded team & have the better defense....for the year gt allows over a yards more per play than clemson which is pretty signicant....in addition this will be the 3rd time in the last 2 years that clemson has had the opportunity to face gt's offense....earlier in the year they played & gt won 30-27 but that score was mis-leading as there were numerous trick plays that went for tds & in reality cu did a good job containing the gt offense for the game....they gave up 2 special teams td's & a long run in the 1st quarter before settling down & holding the gt to 3 fg's for the remainder of the game.....

in addition the gt qb hurt his ankle in last weeks game & temporarily left the game & wasn't effective when he came back....& because of their offense,this could be a problem for the gt offense if he is not 100% for tomorrow....

i also have under 56 in the gt / clemson game which i posted earlier in the week with a writeup....

i also have under 52 in the so. fla / conn. game which i also posted yesterday....

under 45 w. virginia / rutgers....

this game to me looks like a real slugfest because rutgers defense has the speed to match the w. virginia offense & w. virginia is playing sound defense....& the weather looks like it may be a factor since there is a forecast of rain turning to snow with 12-17 mph winds....

under 58 cin / pitt....

originally i liked pitt because i like to play physical football teams in cold weather....but think the under is a better play....

if you look at the numbers of their last 9 games of cinc. on the road (they score 5 points less on the road) & pitt at home, none of their games have gone over 55 , with an average total of 45.5....& cin. on the road & pitt. at home both allow about 14 ppg....

i'm looking for the pitt coach to go back to his nfl roots & pound the ball today to keep it out of cin's hands....
