okay i just checked it in powersweep...& memphis is not listed....& i agree with you that they fall into the play against category...i don't what to tell you....it seems like good ole phil made an error...

unpossible. Phil is always right :mj07:

sorry for the confusion earlier. i meant to phrase why isnt Miss a play ON (against Memphis)

i believe they are and frankly with the line down 4 points i think there is some good value on the Rebels

AR182. Great to see you back!

I wanted to ask your input on Missouri first half -5.5

I see the offense clicking from the start and wanted to get your thoughts of playing first half at -5.5.

Thanks in adavnce for your response and good luck to you.

thanks mc....glad your back...

here is an angle that i just saw on another forum....

Road favorites of more than a TD have done well before playing a non-lined game. Saturday, Mississippi State opens their season at Louisiana Tech as a favorite of more than a TD, before hosting SE Louisiana next week. Teams in this role are 8-0 SU & ATS since 1992. This qualifies MISSISSIPPI STATE as a PLAY ON team

good luck

thanks guys...appreciate it...

adding....

kansas st.-26(120)....

this is the start of ron prince's 3rd year coaching at ksu....the first year the team made it to a bowl game & last year the team finished 5-7....so i think the team will be looking to come out of the gate very fast. the wildcats were an extremely dangerous offensive unit last year, especially with their passing attack. josh freeman threw for 3,300+ yards and 18 TDs....& with 7 starters back from last year's team that averaged about 35 ppg. i expect him to have a field day against one of the worst defenses in college football. last year ksu's weakness was on defense, but i don't see them having any problems against nt.

meanwhile north texas is coming off a horrendous season in which the team went just 2-10 & are 7-28 over the last three years. on defense, nt gave up 45+ points per game and nearly 500 total yards per outing in 2007....they allowed 230 rushing ypg last season and lost three starting linebackers from last year's team.....& since 2005 nt has given up an average of 62 ppg & have gone 0-5 ats against bcs opponents....

nt has simply been out-manned by non sun-belt teams in recent years, as they are 3-18 ats in their last 21 non-conference games, including 0-12 ats as an underdog of more than 17 points....& that includes losses of 10-79 at okla. and 7-66 at ark last season under this coach. ksu is 6-0 ats as a home favorite of 4 points or more under coach prince & are 73-33 ats at home since 1990.

i am expecting ksu to come out of the gates very fast in their home opener & put a beating on nt today in their home opener.

good luck

thanks for the nice words walii...appreciate it..

adding...

under 53(120) laf/ so. miss....

so. miss. is breaking in a new coach, new qb, & new offensive schemes which usually takes time to learn....laf.is a running team that does very little passing....which eats up the clock...

good luck.

thanks gw & dogg...appreciate it...

thanks guys....

so far 3-2 for the week.....but losing the wisc. under really bothers me...i am going to have to start drinking pretty soon...:142smilie

adding....

under 57(120) w. mich / neb....

with neb. looking to run the ball more to keep the defense off the field...& w. mich's defense expecting to improve (10 starters back), think anything over 55 to be kind of hard to reach.

good luck

thanks morris....

i may not be around the computer tomorrow so i placed this bet just now...& since i couldn't wait to see if the line would drop...i bought a point to get it where i am comfortable...

adding....

col.-10(130)....

this is the first game for the new col.st. coach & he has to break in a new qb & find replacements for the loss of csu's top 3 receivers from last year.so i look for csu to try to run the ball against col. last year on defense, csu gave up 207.3 ypg on the ground, second-to-last in the mwc and 107th in the nation overall....& this their top returning defensive player is recovering from off season shoulder surgery.

this may be col's best team in years & they have an experienced qb who will make plays against the suspect csu defense. on defense, cu's strength should be stopping the run as they were very good doing it last year.

here is an intersting trend that i read in a newsletter concerning new coaches making their coaching debut with lousy teams (teams that won 4 or less games last year).....since 1990 when a new coach/lousy team is making their debut against a good team (a team that won 6 or more last year) they are 12-34 ats....26%....lousy teams fitting this trend are....baylor, miss., & colorado st.

also the col. coach (hawkins ) is 10-2 ats as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points in all games he has coached since 1992.

i know that the previous scores have always been close when these 2 teams play...but i don't think it will happen this year...

good luck

i lost a tough bet yesterday when wisc. fumbled the snap from center with 2 minutes left on the game & they gave akron a td with a few seconds left on the clock ...but that is why i keep a bottle of capt. morgans within reach...lol.

what annoys me more than losing that under play is making completely stupid bets...like playing unders with teams who can't play defense....& laying double digits with wanny's teams....sometimes i wonder about myself....lol

so far am 7-5 on the week....still have the under in the ucla / tenn game & col. open.

good luck
