last week unlv lost the one player they absolutely could not afford to lose when their qb (18 tds/5 ints) went down with a knee injury....so i think unlv will have trouble scoring against a pretty good nm defense with their backup...
on the other side of the ball, nm has averaged 223 rushing yards per game at 5.1 yards per rushing play.....over the year nm has had trouble scoring against teams that defend the run well, but they?ve scored a good number of points against teams with bad run defenses.....but unlv is horrible defending the run, allowing 240 yards per game at 5.6 yprp.....but the rebs are actually worse defending the pass, allowing 8.0 yards per pass play.....
i also think nm will come ready to play because they are playing for a bowl game.....
