Thanks LD....Appreciate it....Good luck also....
Some thoughts on my plays....
Kentucky-24(120)....
Akron has lost 16 straight 'true" road openers by an average of 28 ppg....Many of the Akron offensive players were recruited to play in the offense that their previous coach ran (spread), while their new coach is trying to get these players to fit into a pro-style offense....& they seem to be having the predictable problems with it(Qb is completing 46% of his passes)....On the other hand, Kentucky's offense is clicking on all cylinders & I don't think they will let up against Akron....Their running back, Locke has had b2b 100 yds. rushing games, Cobb is scoring on all different type of plays, & their qb, Hartline has a completion % of 76%....
Play On - Home favorites of 21.5 to 31 points (Kentucky) - excellent offensive team (>=6.2 YPP) against a team with an average defense (4.8 to 5.6 YPP), after gaining 450 or more total yards in 2 consecutive games.....
Since 1992 the ATs record for this system is....24-4....85.7%....
The average line posted in these games was....Team favored by 26.3....The average score in these games was....Team 49.5, Opponent 12.4....
Over the last 5 seasons the system's record is....6-0....100%....
Over the last 10 seasons the system's record is....14-2....87.5%....
Oregon St-17....
OSU has large edges over Louisville on offense & defense, while UL is still learning the schemes of their new coach....OSU is 8-1 ATS as a DD favorite & since this is their only home game in Sep't. & coming off a bye, don't see them letting up on an out-manned UL team....
So.Miss.4....
1st road game Kansas new QB....& SM will be out to avenge a 35-28 loss to Kansas last year....
Teams off a SU home non-conference win as a DD dog are 14-32-1 ATS (30.4%), including 0-9-1 ATS as a single digit dog....
Fla.St.-9....
FSU is coming off an humiliating loss last week to Okla & their Heisman hopeful qb, Ponder completed only 39% of his passes....While BYU was also badly beaten by AF last week & seem to be having a hard time in choosing who their starting qb will be....Think this indecision will play right into FSU's hands....FSU has the edges over BYU right across the board & don't see why they can't beat BYU by over 20 points as they did last season....BYU is also 0-4 ATS as an away dog the last 4 years....
Good luck....
