Nobody has to remind anyone in Baltimore of the significance of a Ravens-Colts matchup. Even Ravens fans who weren't born when the Mayflower trucks rolled out of here in 1984 will be out for revenge if Peyton Manning and Co. show up with the city's long-lost (or is that long-stolen?) horseshoe emblem on their helmets.

Personally, I can not wait for this game. I think if Indy wins, they will play in Baltimore in prime time on Saturday night. I already have my tickets and hotel reservations, and will be traveling down the BW Parkway early Saturday for one hell of a tailgate.

The name Colts was chosen in a local Baltimore contest. He chose it because of Pimlico race track and the name was almost Whirlaway after the most current triple crown winner of that time. Sadly the "real" Colts ceased to exist in 1984.

The original Baltimore Colts logo of a colt with a Baltimore Colts football helmet and football was modeled after the AAFC Baltimore Colts logo, minus the hurdle. The logo was made because the Baltimore area was known for its horses.
