.......................................................Lemme get this straight:
You have to have a gun for self defense. I mean, the threat is so possible that you have to carry a gun, but locking your car doors as a matter of habit doesn't come into play?
I think most people find locking car doors as a first line of defense in self preservation when out and about. Packing heat moves a tad south on the scale.
I believe that a small amount of people have very valid reasons for having concealed weapons. I believe far more of them enjoy a "coolness" factor, or the machismo they feel they get with it. Or, ultimately, getting a chance to kill someone, and get a free pass for doing it. Much like hunters who claim they hunt for food, or to keep the balance of nature in order, instead of admiting they like to kill shit.
I have met alot of people that I would say wanted to shoot someone and kill them.
But they are the same ones when it came to crunch time would probably falter, have the gun taken away and get killed themselves.
There is a old adage that says never pull out a gun unless you intend to use it. I believe in that concept.
But when I think about it, lets say that yyz is in a field running about 100 yds.
I got a 30.06 scoped out.
BOOM !
problem solved.
