obama wants to spend roughly .10 % of our gdp on "the global poverty act".......

not to mention economic policy platforms promising enormous, unprecedented, historic increases in runaway government spending, to be financed with huge, record setting, historic tax increases.....

this is exactly what our economy needs, just when it may be tipping into recession, and facing the stiffest world competition in decades....

he wants to up the corporate income tax?.....you think jobs are leaving now?.... counting federal and state corporate income taxes, american corporations face an average top rate of 40%...

the average corporate tax rate in the european union was 24% in 2007, down from 38% in 1996. ....
how are we gonna compete not only with these countries, but with emerging giants of india and china, given this crippling tax liability?

you guys don`t think...it`s all about 'feel good"...

valid points.

obama's smoothness fools millions of americans, but at the end of the day he's just another race-hustling socialist. taking money from whites and turning it over to blacks is his game, whether those blacks are inside the US or outside. and of course, along with the extractions come the endless moralizing and lecturing about what whites "owe" the "black community." no one ever speaks about what the black community owes whites. no one ever mentions that black-majority cities are bankrupt and ugly, or that blacks commit almost all interracial crime. the media are too busy celebrating obama to report these things. there's a difference between being a fangirl and a journalist, but try explaining that to katie olbermann and krissy mathews.

here's the facts of the matter, for the 1% of you with brains and interest. every new black politician down the pike is celebrated as some historic first. but in the end, almost every single one of them turns out to be a criminal.

the same media championing obama today cheered yesterday when Rhodesia was turned over to Mugabe back in 1980. now they're starving to death in zimbabwe, enjoying 100,000% inflation. it was progress when the ANC black communists were given power in South Africa, now SA enjoys the highest rape/murder rates in the world. it was progress when marion barry became mayor of d.c. he led the capital to crack and receivership. it was progress when kwame kilpatrick replaced whatever black crimimal proceeded him in detroit (i forget who it was, Coleman maybe) - but he turned out to be just another criminal and mismanager. he did have a really cool earring though.

the blunt fact of the matter -- if you like eating and fiscal responsibility -- is that obama's nomination is progressive only in the sense of an advancing disease.

No need to apologize. A strong % of white 50+ Hillary supporters will cross over to McCain based on racist beliefs.

Plus, racist republicans will vote in record numbers to avoid a black president.

You heard it here 1st.

..........................................................

yeh but guess what the rednecks are outnumbered.

As I said over a month ago, if Obama takes Bill Richardson as VP it aint going to matter .

The black people and mexicans together out number racist white people in this election by a large margin. There are 46 million mexicans and 36 million african americans.

Get the buses rolling Obama . Set up your orginazations in key states to get out the young voters and to sign up new young voters. Drive everyone that wants to vote to the elections and give them a ride home.

You heard it here first

i also forgot to mention the other negative about obama: he's a complete tool of israel when it comes to foreign policy. in that respect, of course, he is no different from mccain.

here's a good article about obama's appeasement of our #1 enemy:

Obama Capitulates ? to the Israel lobby

Appeasment

Since Jack and x2 want everyone to love one another all of a sudden I thought I would start this one day temporary love fest with a thread where we all tell a joke which goes against our personal political beliefs. I'll start withe the olive branch. As a somewhat left leaning centrist:

I heard that a Ted Kennedy was removed from a malignant tumor last week. Gods speed to the malignant tumor.

I think calling out a racist idiot does not qualify me for a special needs forum.

It may qualify you for a 911 conspiracy forum though.

Brinker rather amusing today.

Brings up how Clinton (the horny male) promised a middle tax tax break throughout his 1st pres campaign. Then, after getting elected, said he wasn't going to keep his promise after looking at the books. Then he increased taxes. Now OB is making all kinds of promises involved with our financial situation, including tax cuts for some. Brinker is asking if OB is using Clinton's playbook?

(IMO) He doesn't think OB has any sound financial knowledge.

As opposed to Bush who cuts Taxes and then spends $80B a year on a police action in a civil war where we don't belong. He also does nothing to wean the country from relying on Saudi Arabia (the country where 19- out 21 9-11ers come from for all of our oil. Cie, you can drill all you want and you won't come up with enough oil for our current consumption. What did Bush do about all this during his 8 useless years......nothing. He is the worst president of the modern age and that will not get better over time. We waste oil in this country and the current situation will prove that because out of necessity I bet we reduce by 20% in the next 5 years....and it won't be that hard. Clinton and his horny ass came close to balancing the budget....Bush used a credit card and leaves an anemic economy. Advantage Horndog!

What has any administration done about it in last 20 years--what about Mr Greenie Gore/Clinton

Per the rest--It is speculation on what drilling will find from enough to supply us for 70 years to only changing price of gas a few cents--the truth probably somewhere in between--
What is not speculation but concrete is results if we don't.

Your issue on war is opinion but comes under budget of defence---no secret liberals stance on budget for defence vs social programs in the past--and you certainly got a good one in the running--beating the same drum.

I agree the rise in oil prices is a reflection of our devaluing dollar. I rarely hear this, rather I hear leftist kooks- including congress- blaming Exxon-Mobil:mj07: It's completely laughable.

Curious, Cie, if you think that Exxon-Mobil and the other big oil companies still need/deserve the tax breaks and credits they have been getting while at the same time saying that they are not being permitted to use those to accomplish the things they are receiving them for? Specifically exploration, drilling, increasing refining/delivery capabilities, etc.

While at the same time taking profits inflated thanks to those the tax breaks and credits and rewarding private shareholders and management/CEOs instead of engaging in the above things?

Pretty good gig, in my mind - take the money, blame others for not allowing you to use the money as intended - then reward the company with the money. And at least for me, that is where the oil companies and this administration can certainly be blamed and held responsible. They certainly are not reducing the price of gas, are they? They aren't returning any of the incentives money that they can't use, are they? Do you think this process leaves them beyond reproach or absolved of any responsibility?

Careful what you wish for Chad--Remember Exxon pays more taxes than 50% of americans-that pay taxes. About 30 billion in 07 roughly an effective rate of 41% by some calculations--then tack on taxes on dividends of shareholders--

THEN consider the alternative--Remember Halibuton getting tired of the BS the libs were harping on constantly and moved operations outside the U.S. --well interesting thing happened last week--Exxon announced it was selling all its gas stations inside the U.S. Hmm If I was thinking bout taking Haliburtons lead -what would be my
1st move????

I said long time ago--given enough grief all will take their ball and go home--leaving the taxors in a "hopeless" situation.

Don't keep thinking like that. Things could very easily get worse with the next sitting prez, along with congress and this 4shit court.

Everybody always thinking things are worse than ever or better than ever (during their lives).
