You can't form your own opinion, if it's based on someone else's "facts". That's what makes it so hard.

That?s certainly fair and I agree that it?s accurate. I guess what I mean is a large segment of the country toes the party line.

You guys out there that think you're so 'healthy and fit' and young and no worries better think again. I know a 40 year old guy that runs 5-10 miles daily and is a physical fitness trainer who got Covid 2 weeks ago, went into the hospital a week ago, and died last night. You never know.

Sorry to hear about this. I also know a wildly fit 47yo personal trainer who went thru 9 days of hell with covid. Said it was worse than anything he?s ever experienced. He came thru it, but said he now knows what dying feels like

Not that you are referring to me, but I?m not overly healthy and definitely not fit, but still not afraid. Maybe because that case is an outlier, just like blood clots from the vax are outliers. But, maybe it?s because I?m just not that type. Others are, and that?s cool. It takes all kinds.

Wasn't even thinking about you when I posted. Footlong was on my mind, Homedog as well. They aren't worried one bit if they contract Covid. You never know. It's not only the obese and elderly, it can get anybody. But, so can anything else too. We can get hit by a bus.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being a little on the cautious side. Especially me being in the higher risk category. To be chastised for being on the cautious side is most ridiculous.

You?re wasting your time. Until these knuckleheads experience it personally it?s all just going to be bullshit.

of course, it's not only the obese and elderly, I definitely didn't mean to imply that. But 78% is a big number, and nobody is disputing it. Still, that leaves 22% that could be people that are young and fit. I'm just saying along with masks and vaccines there is a personal health component to this virus, disproportionately it's affecting people who are not in good health. I just think the government/media missed a great opportunity to not only advocate masks and vaccines, but try to get yourself in a little better health, it matters. Take your vitamin D, and zinc supplements, a huge percentage of those individuals hospitalized, were deficient. I hope everyone is well and stays safe.

This is part of the reason I don't frequent/post on the boards anyone....It gets tiresome seeing the person digs and insults that certain member continue to do day in day out...

Why is it so difficult having a discussion with different viewpoints without posters hurling insults and challenging ones intelligence?

It's even trickling into the Sports Wagering Boards, that used to be sacrilegious not so much now.

Enjoy....:0008

That's right. Equal time for those calling it a hoax and a conspiracy. Gotta hear everyone out. Give everyone a trophy and tell every woman she's beautiful.

I'll make that my last post in this thread. Cue the celebrations.

To be chastised on either side is most ridiculous. Do what you gotta do. Obviously, in the media you see more chastising of those who don?t take it seriously, but in the real world I see it both ways. It?s up to the individual how they wanna handle this. My body, my choice. Just because I decided to get vaccinated, doesn?t mean that I am going to frown upon those who don?t choose. Same stance as abortion. And those who are more scared than others, or feel they are more compromise than others, can take extra precautions. No problem with that. To each their own

I sure as hell wish I knew how to express myself in writing without people always taking my meaning the wrong way. Damn good thing my career isn?t writing because I?m not good at conveying my thoughts at all.

Shamrock, my post wasn?t directed towards you. I thought about footlong and homedog while I was Creating my post but only because they seem to think they are safe because they are young and in good health. That?s all. My post wasn?t directed to them personally or anybody else for that matter. I was just talking about the guy I know who died last night.

Cry me a River. What happened to you? You used to be hilarious. I disagree with WHN on many issues, but trust me, he takes a lot more that dishes, and I find him to be an Intelligent foe on most topics. Why not offer your opinion and add to the discussion? General discussion should be full of debate and 💩 talking. We are all men here, aren?t we?

People can believe and think and do whatever they want. It?s a free country.

Sorry about your friend, Jack. Nothing surprises me any more in reference to covid. I have seen some terrible heart-breaking things.

Shamrock, good to see you in the thread. I think your point is a good one about encouraging people to live healthier lives. It?s sort of similar to my stance about learning from covid. Your point is that most who have died were obese, so let?s make a call out to live healthier. Mine is that we know how to basically eradicate the flu. I still haven?t seen a positive case since October and that?s BC people were wearing masks, distancing, and practicing hand hygiene. Let?s carry that knowledge forward and protect the vulnerable in the future.

I hope I never see another disease like covid. I hope none of you who haven?t been personally impacted by covid stay that way. I hope that my two co-workers who still have no sense of smell or taste (since November) regain it. I hope I never see another patient die from respiratory failure again.

I like to offer information to my friends here that you might not hear otherwise. Take the information and use it how you wish.

PS Sportsaholic, grow a pair and get in on the debate. Like I said above, you can be funny and add to the convo positively.

Yeah, Jack. You can lock yourself in your basement for the rest of your life or you can live you life and take the chance of being run over by a bus. I'll take the latter. No issue with people that want to be more cautious, just don't drag everyone down that road.

My wife and kids went to her family's for Thanksging and she came home with it. It's a 4 hour drive away and she started feeling bad on the way home. She was with my two girls. When she got home my youngest one came in the house and started laughing. I was like, what is going on? She said mom has something to tell you. She said, homedog i think I have Covid. Her sister and the husband had both tested positive the day before.

She said, you want me to sleep upstairs? I said no, no big deal. She said, should I go get tested? I said, why? Just treat the symptoms. You wouldn't do anything different even if you tested positive. Well, she was hard headed and had to get tested so I took her to get tested and she was positive. She had mild flu symptoms.

I slept in the same bed with her, gave her the sausage a few times and even kissed her. No effects for me. I felt a little tired but that was all. Who knows if I had it or not. Doesn't matter.

I've been sicker than she was over the years from the flu and she has too. No big deal.

My two daughters that were with her the whole time: the younger one we believe had it., she was at college. She listened to me and didn't get tested and treated the symptoms. Basically a bad cough. All cleared up but she did have to end up getting a prescription for her cough. This was before her mom got it. The older one was nervous about it and although no symptoms she went and got tested and she was negative.Never had any symptoms.

1st off, thank you for all you do, it takes a special person to care for people....

I think you may have taken my reply to Jack the wrong way, I was agreeing with him.... People "shouldn't" be chastised for having a different opinion....I'm all for debate and banter I draw the line when it becomes personal...

If you don't care for my views on politics, religion, health, dogs I'm fine with that...I get pissed when people start insulting and being rude because they have a different view, there is no place for that in my opinion...

Be well....:0008
