08.28.02 (1:35 PM EST) - Reports that CRIS situation similar to that which happened yesterday at Casablanca. Costa Rica authorities entered office due to failure by CRIS to maintain proper paperwork on employees. More to come.

08.28.02 (1:32 PM EST) - 50 law enforcement officers presently surrounding and entering CRIS building at this hour.

08.28.02 (1:23 PM EST) - CRIS raid. Initial reports say money laundering. More info to come.

08.28.02 (1:20 PM EST) - CRIS BEING RAIDED. Clerks sent home. All over news in Costa Rica

i am not going to panic over this just yet. there are a lot of rumors going around and people feed off those and add their own twists. i understand they are looking for one person and the book will be fine. i have 5 figures in there and am not worried about it yet. although.....i certainly wouldn't be sending them any money today either. wait and see....don't panic.

It looks like it has nothing to do with Cris.The Canadian police are searching for some dude who has apparently bilked a ton of money from Canadian citizens.The police have seized lots of cash from Cris offices.

Yesterday was Casablanca. Today is Cris. What about the other books there? I know of at least one, I think NASA is there. I certainly hope this doesn't turn into much........this industry certainly doesn't need this particular thing at this time.
EDIT: I wrote this before Bundy's post, I hope that is the situation there. ......But, why would they send all the clerks home? If they were lookin for a guy, they would have everyone freeze. If they found him, it would be business as usual, no ?? Just a thought. GL to all involved

After doing a search all the clerks were sent home as they have no involvement what so ever.Some dude from Canada started a phoney toothpaste company and defrauded a huge amount of money from investers.The money trail led police to Cris`s offices or the building they are in.They are not under investigation at this time.But as you could full well understand with millions of dollars being involved and their building besieged by police it is not business as usual.
