I've got about $5k deposited to my online brokerage account. Looking for a play and I've been reading about what all you fine people have been on over the last couple months. Should I get into one of these? If so, which one? Price point? Perhaps pick two and put half into each? Not sure which way to go. Which has the most potential to hit big the soonest? I know I'm asking a lot but I'm just curious as to your opinions and crystal ball predictions.

Thanks in advance!!

i have TIDE and AMEP and they're both overdue for a run.

TIDE is waiting on a permit and AMEP was waiting to drill and drilling has started. I guess the market is waiting to see if the drilling hits pay dirt before it runs.

who knows at this point. all i know is, i'm loaded up on both and counting for something good to happen. if not, i'm in deep shit.

i do not recommend gambling on stocks like i am doing, however.

please check them out and make your own decisions because god knows i've been wrong many times before.

good luck whatever you do. these are gambles, plain and simple.

well said, Jack...

Approach these stocks as if you were putting that whole 5K on the Steelers +3.5 this weekend, because thats what this is...pure gambling.

IMO, take 2500 and put it on the Steelers ML, and then you will have approx. 8700 to play with in the markets....:mj07:

Thanks for the advice. I was approaching it in the way you guys described. Now that football season is practically over I was looking for another avenue to take a gamble with 5k. I guess I'll give CYGX and AMEP a shot - $3k on cygx and $2k on amep.

Good luck to us!

Welcome aboard Notebook. Hopefully you can hit a homerun with both of these. Both of these stocks carry more risk than the blue chippers, but the reward can also be much greater. MJ played CYGX like a champ last week making 11% in one day. I was thinking at work today about what happened to MJ the other day and his "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" quote. I have seen this happen alot. These companies release these what I would call fluff NR's, and they have a nice little pop, and then slowly drift back down. The one thing that is going to get any of these going up is revenue. Once the money starts rolling in is when you will see your investment appreciate. Sounds pretty simple, but most of these bulletin board companies aren't making much money, that is why they are still on this exchange.

Hopefully you got your CYGX filled today. If not, might place a limit order in the morning at $.94, and maybe you will get filled first thing.

Good Luck and hopefully we will all make some nice returns.

American Energy Production Inc. Announces Major New Development and Strategic Acquisition

Internet Wire via COMTEX

Feb 23, 2006 8:30:01 AM

MINERAL WELLS, TX, Feb 23, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) --

American Energy Production Inc. (OTC BB: AMEP) is pleased to announce investee Bend Arch Petroleum has acquired another drilling rig in a joint venture agreement with Armadrill USA, a subsidiary of Aramadrill Mexico.

The acquisition consists of a Challenger 360 Drilling Rig capable of drilling to a depth of 6,000 feet as well as drilling horizontal wells in the Barnett Shale. In today's environment this deal greatly expands the business plan of Bend Arch Petroleum Inc. Profit potential for Bend Arch Petroleum Inc. will be greatly enhanced. Not only does this give the company the ability to use the rig on Bend Arch Petroleum's own drilling projects but management will now be able to contract the rig to other oil and natural gas operators for high drilling prices. The Challenger 360 rig will enable Bend Arch Petroleum to acquire working interests in other wells increases our diversification with drilling oil and natural gas wells and also producing oil and gas wells. Discussions are already underway on several drilling projects.

Charles Bitters, President of American Energy Production Inc., stated, "With the exception of the purchase of our Ideco H-40 Drilling Rig, this is the most significant development of our company to date. I believe this deal greatly improves our future balance sheet and will make the drilling operation more efficient. I believe we are positioning The Company to be a major player in the Barnett Shale natural gas play. Also, the alliance Bend Arch Petroleum Inc. and Armadrill USA have formed will enable Bend Arch Petroleum to buy drilling equipment out of Mexico that is not available in the United States at this time."

Like the Ideco H-40 rig, the Armadrill rig needs some preparation work. The rig is already in Bend Arch Petroleum yard in Mineral Wells, Texas, and is being worked on daily. Management looks forward to the announcement of our first drilling contract or first Company project in the Barnett Shale.

what price you looking for?
looking to sell 180K shares at .065 but holding long on the 500K shares I have. something like .25 or so? i guess i'll wait to see what develops from here. now they have 2 rigs, so doubled their production and rigs are hard to come by. any day now they should be reporting in the one well that is almost finished drilling. if they hit paydirt there, who knows?

i bought my last 100k shares at .058 yesterday.

now i'm definitely holding here for at least a double.

just one week ago they had only one rig about to be completed the drilling. now they have 2 rigs and we're waiting on the news of the 1st drilling.

i don't think .20 in the next couple of months is out of the question. maybe higher.

i also bought 20k shares of TIDE at .88 yesterday and holding that one for a triple, that i don't think is out of the question in the next 3-4 months.

watching F which is about to dip below 8.00 again. when it does i'm buying that back looking for a target of 8.50 within 1 month and get out with a quick profit for my 3rd time.
