In a ranting mood this morning. Another hypocritical dickface. He is flat out jealous of Sean White. Instead of admitting that he feels inferior to White, he bangs on White's line at Target and mainstream sponsorships. Of course, Davis is sponsored by Burton, Mountain Dew and others. Bottom line, White is the Tiger Woods of snowboarding an ALL of these jealous American and Canadian douchebags speaking out against him owe their lofty lifestyles to Mr. White. That is all.

How can you possibly get so excited about people sliding around on the snow?

My children snowboard (five year old twins), very good they are at it too......

Me, not so much. I'm an adult.

I know nothing about the sport and have no regular access to snow. A snowboarder might say, "How can anyone get excited about soccer? My kids run around the yard kicking the ball. They are very adept at running and kicking. Me, not so much. I'm an adult"

Of course, the sport, in itself, has nothing to do with my rant. It annoys me that these guys who owe White for putting the sport on the map and raising their level of worldwide recognition, routinely piss in his face. The Canadians talking smack is bad enough, but his American teammates ripping him is outrageous imo...

Ok so today I'm being that anti Cie, sorry man.

I think you'll find that most hardcore snowboarders feel that way about White. My best analogy for this would be rock bands. There are groups of fans and bands that don't like it when a band goes mainstream. They feel like they're being sell outs, not true to the music and just looking for money. I'm pretty sure that's how snowboarders feel about White.

Davis is mainstream. Otherwise, he wouldn't have multiple lucrative national sponsors. But I understand where you're coming from

Well if someone didn't sell out they wouldn't have the XGames and the Olympics. Anyway, maybe he gets dissed because of being a jerkoff which i've heard.

Maybe the issue is that it is a sport on a board?

Shaun White --> Tony Hawk.

It's the same thing, all the skateboarders got butthurt and said they dont like T Hawk anymore because he "sold out" and "went mainstream" to get paid, and everyone else got paid right along with him.
they're just pissed because he elevated himself before they did.

Agree with Cie here, but want to point out something. Many people have at one time provided comparisons between Tiger and Phil, both being spectacular athletes. I like them both, but like Phil far better. Phil is a total class act. I saw Phil speak in an interview once with Real Sports and he was asked what he thought of Tiger Woods. Phil said something like, "I like Tiger Woods, not only for being an excellent athlete but for what he has brought to the game. I am playing for higher stakes, receiving more endorsements, and an intense level of competition. This is due to more people watching the game of golf and tuning in to see Tiger so I'm thankful for that."

I can see the comparison with Hawk. The big difference is Tony was still one of the guys. If you've watched the old skate boarding docs you see him hanging out and being one of the guys. I can't say for sure but he looked as if he was still "smoking" with the guys as well.

I'm not so sure Shaun and his former flowing locks were part of the crew.

PS At this point I'm bored, having a slow day and just looking to argue.

Anna Sidorova, Russia, Curling
Russian curler Anna Sidorova wants to be known for her skills on the ice. But that doesn't mean she won't rock some skimpy lingerie when she's off the ice!

Can't you read?! He is the douchebag I was ranting about this morning.

:0008

I never heard of this David Daniels guy til yesterday. Saw him fall in the slush twice and finish in last place. I most certainly expect more from representatives of Mountain Dew.

First time I saw or heard his name was this morning in a Dan Wetzel article on yahoo. One google search later, I read a slew of Davis quotes speaking out against White.

On the course!
White is the reason for the X-Games, and the reason this sport is in the Olympics.

Edited to say "Winter" X Games.
