Well this is my second play in March Madness.

Since I won the 500 last night , I am going to put
600 something more down and go for the big
upset here.

Don't get me wrong, alot of risk in this play.

I was up until 3 AM this morning to get to this determination.

Kansas is a solid team that goes deep into their lineup.

Kansas is a #1 seed. Yeh when is one going to lose.

Davidson has played with the big boys already , Duke, UNC, etc.

Curry may well be the best player on the floor.

Davidson plays with heart and teamwork to the end.

Davidson is a comeback type team and Kansas has a bad habit of getting lacksadaisical at times.

Kansas weakness is their inside game. It can be exploited if Davidson coach knows what he is
doing for a game plan.

I smell money and it smells green !

? The drumbeat is already starting for Roy Williams to face Kansas. Davidson may yet keep it from happening but a Final Four showdown between North Carolina and Kansas would be an emotional powder keg for Williams. During one of our walks on the UNC campus in 2003, I asked Williams if he would ever think about scheduling a game against the Jayhawks, the team he led to four Final Fours before his famously angst-ridden departure in '03. He looked at me as if I had suggested he become a Buddhist monk. "Nope," Williams said. "And if we do make the tournament and someone were to schedule us in a first-round game -- just one of those "miracles" that happen in the tournament -- then I'd strangle everybody on the committee." Win or lose in San Antonio, if it involves Carolina-vs.-Kansas you can expect some tears from Ol' Roy before it's all over.
.............................................................

Alot of pressure on Kansas here to make this game happen now.

Davidson has been playing loose with nothing to lose for the past 3 games.

Oh and who is the crowd going to be rooting for at Ford Field ?

wow . the sixth man crowd equation.

And yet, should the Jayhawks fend off Stephen Curry and the Wildcats on Sunday, there will be many who still feel they haven't done enough. The bracket has fallen so favorably for Kansas that it can reach San Antonio without beating a single opponent seeded better than eighth (UNLV). A rash of upsets in the Midwest region left the Jayhawks with a 12th-seeded Sweet 16 foe (Villanova, whom they crushed 72-57) and now a 10th seed in Davidson.:scared

Anyone who's watched Davidson take down Georgetown and Wisconsin knows they're far better than a 10th seed -- they're ranked in the top 25

A more applicable comparison, however, might be that of Jim Calhoun's 1999 Connecticut team. Much like Self, Calhoun, a recent Hall of Fame inductee who to that point had coached numerous highly ranked teams without reaching the promised land, finally landed a "break" on the way to his first Final Four, drawing then-unheralded Gonzaga -- like Davidson, a 10th seed -- in the Elite Eight.

Did someone say unheralded .:00hour

geez free

when I glanced at the views just before I posted that last post it was 77

I am so superstitious about numbers when I wager its pathetic at times.

Its always a good omen for me. And Jack has offered to buy me a 777 dollar hamburger in Vegas someday.

With only three losses this year to Texas, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State which was all due to fatigue and failure to play both ends of the court.

....................................................................
They lost to Kansas St and Okl St who had quite a few losses on their slate.

I compare these Kansas losses to Davidson losing
3 games to Duke, UNC, and UCLA.

Davidson has good game experience playing with the big boys. It could be a huge factor if Kansas is even the slightest bit off their game. overconfident, lets the crowd affect them,
or looking ahead to UNC.

PS - I would feel very comfortable taking the
+9 1/2 points for anyone without moneyline
cravings.

I've been sleeping
under the beanstalk
and I've been dreaming
of Davidson winning
I don't know how
but I swear by beans
I smell money and it smells green

Awake the giant
awake, awake
Hey Kansas
You're no bigger than me
I know I've got heart
inside of me

It might be hard
but if we dare
we're on our way
to the Final Four somewhere.

no one else can fight this fight
So now I see
it's up to me
take us home with KOD.

Why Davidson can win: This team is actually good. Who out-Wisconsins Wisconsin? The Wildcats got every key rebound, every loose ball, and most importantly, stuffed every big second half offensive possession. The Badgers didn't go the entire second half without hitting a basket; it just seemed that way. Don't get too caught up in KU's three-game run to the regional final ? it hasn't played anyone with a pulse. If you were to tell Jayhawk fans before the tournament that their team would face Portland State, UNLV, Villanova and Davidson, they'd have booked their tickets to San Antonio. Davidson makes a living off being underestimated, but this is the real deal with an inside presence on defense, fearless outside shooters, and of course, Curry.
