I really enjoy this show, told the wife I was goning to take a few months off and take a shot at King Crab fishing in the Bering sea..

she told me to go back to sleep,

I hear ya dude... I'd go in a heartbeat to do it for a season just to push the envelope up there.
The problem is, greenhorns don't get paid anything at all.

So it would be a pretty expensive "adventure" by giving up your regular job to go hang out as a greenhorn and make $500.

Disc channel usually does a marathon of sessions on the weekends at some point.

Thanks Marine....but sadly Discovery Channel Canada is behind 4 episodes, that's why I am trying to see if anywhere on the web would have those 4 episodes to download.

Hundreds have died, just have not caught a death on Camera.....last year they were close to catching a death on Camera, but they plucked the guy out of the water just in time :scared

5 people went down on a boat already.. no film of it though.

When one of the captain's kids goes out and buys an $800 flat screen tv to put in front of his bunk.. and charges it to the captain's credit card.

talk about near death experiences...

Greenhorn salaries - some do a small percentage (like a half share) of the catch. Other boats do a flat rate per week and if they do really well, the crew can vote to give them a bonus of like 1% of the profit.
