I like Guida and he brings the action, however IMO of watching MMA over the years, I think Huerta is the better fighter. I know that doesn't always prevail...but in Guida's fights, it typically does, somehow.

I got Huerta in a KO either 1 or 2 round.

i got to say this because after watching the last show before the finals, who is Dana and the rest of these guys think they are kidding, thinking that kid with a broken ribs was giving up a shot of a lifetime? Like him and Serra would run right out there with a broken rib. What was funny is at the end of the show we had to hear Serra dropping out of the match with Hughes because of the injury.:mj07: Hey Serra why not fight like you wanted the kid? I have had both those injuries. Serra's and the broken ribs and neither one you can fight with. When you have the back problem, you can't beat a two year old so that injury is worse but i had broken ribs about four or five times and i wouldn't fight a chick with them. I don't care who you are unless you get a shot you aint beating anyone with broken ribs. Hell the only thing you could try is throwing the hardest punch you can and hope or pray it lands and the fight is over and if you get thrown on the ground oh my is it gonna hurt. I know these are tough guys but please Dana save the drama cause your ass wouldn't fight either. Christ it hurts to freakin breath and if you sneeze good luck. Serra and Dana basically making the kid sound like a pussy and then Serra drops out of his fight due to a Injury.:mj07: Priceless. Never forget the time i bought my old girl a bottle of Georgio perfume when that shit was hot. I had broken ribs and she swung around and her purse with that bottle in it and it hit me right in the ribs and i almost broke my kneecap when i fell to one knee at a blistering pace.

Yeah that pissed me off how they treated that kid. You could tell he was one of the better fighters and more importantly he didn't come off as a tool.

I can't decide on the Huerta fight and I'm not sure how anyone can know for sure. He really hasn't had any big fights to test him. Some guys rise to the occasion and some guys fold, which is he? We know one thing for sure, Guida will bring and bring it full force.

Speer +124 (farm boy strength is too much)
Koppenhaver +100
Hightower -128
Saunder -240 (a little high but he will take it)

I don't know how true this is but on Matt Hughes blog, he is saying that the Doctor found NO injury on the kid and that's what pissed Dana off.

He also said Dana called the kid on it in front of everyone but it was not shown on Spike.

If it is true, then it gives me a new perspective on the situation. Don't lie and say the doctor found a cracked rib when he did not.:nono:

Shit man, I have almost all the opposites of you.

Mac beats Tommy. Too experienced.

George redeems himself.

Jared beats John. Koppenhaver's weakness seems to be subs and this is Jared's strength.

Guida to beat Roger. I think Huerta wins a lot of fights due to great conditioning. He will not have that advantage for this fight.

Good Luck.

hey just because I picked something doesn't mean I am going to be correct :mj07:

and if I had a gun to my head I would be picking Georges Sotiropoulos, but the odds on Billy Miles are too good to pass up, I like taking massive underdogs :SIB And going against Hightower as an UNDERDOG is a no brainer in my opinion!

Although with that being said I'm all over Goulet as the big fav, I think he smokes Paul Georgieff :SIB

as for the Guida fight...who knows  Should be awesome fight :com:

Wee if that is true i wish they would have shown it. Made them two (Serra and Dana)look like total creeps in my eyes. I guess we will hear more about it. Kinda strange they would make themselves look bad like that. Thanks for the update. Makes me re access my comments.

Wee before you bet this make sure they woke that kid cause he still might be laying in the ring. I don't see anything in his game that i would be afraid of. I think they built him up a lot bigger than he really was. Hell he struggled with Hightower who looked scared to death of him.

I agree with ya Sponge...I think George is good....but the odds of $4.10 on Miles are way too good to pass up on :SIB

and a note....calling Dana White an idiot is well ummm idiotic. What him and Zuffa have done for mma is mind numbing. MMA was dead back in the late 90's early 2000's. Now look where it is. Dana White is a huge factor in where mma is today, he is far from an idiot :com:

Also.....yes it is true, Spike did not show the "whole story" as to the whole "crack rib", the doctor never said it was cracked. There is no way Serra (or anybody else) would ask someone to fight with a cracked rib.....I mean come on:SIB

anyway......can't wait for the Guida fight......

I didn't keep up with TUF, so I don't know enough about those guys to bet, but I got Guida over Huerta.

..

Man next time i watch this show i got to keep the tapes. Im getting all the names mixed up. I don't see mac losing in the finals tho and that line to me is cheap. he will make the farmboys strengh work against him. To much experience in my opinion. I will also take a shot with MIles as soon as i can remember who the hell he was.:mj07:

as far as the rib cage injury issue goes, you don`t have to be an mma fighter or a boxer to know that:

1)many rib related injuries(short of a crack or a break) won`t show up on an x-ray or a ct scan....

2)all you have to do is pull a muscle/ligament/cartilage around the rib cage to be pretty much totally incapacitated......and i`m not even talking about the floating ribs....you can`t breath fully, you can`t twist or bend...and you certainly can`t withstand an athlete throwing you around and falling on you...

i just wish that tito had gone through with the dana white fight so white could have learned a little humility....of course, slapping the boss around isn`t exactly a smart career move....

as i said before, huerta`s been good to me,so,i`ll hang with him as the small dog....a toss-up....maybe fight of the year.....a hard fight to pick with any conviction....not even really a pick...just some action...

and i`d like to take a shot with the more experienced danzig over the farm boy, but, those 2 wins over big, slow kolosci(i`ve seen dry,hay-laden turds fall from a cow`s ass faster than this guy moves),but theres a significant size differential........

matter of fact,if you check the records, several of the guys in the show are from different weight classes....

speer`s a solid 170 while danzig is coming up in weight...like the greek guy that speer just beat....arroyo`s listed at 155 while kolosci is obviously much bigger.....

i watched all the shows, but,i have little feel for these fights....

still,should be fun...

btw...a good wec show on versus next wednesday...

Okay Weasel you put some doubt in me with Danzing and i think you are right about the siz but i think one is happy to be there and the other really wants it. I thought Mac last fight with the same guy, there was a big size advantage for the challenger. By the way if i had to fight someone with broken or even bruised ribs my jaw would be so easy to hit cause there is no way im letting you hit me in the ribs:mj07: wrestle with ribs like that? Id rather be tased by the cops a few times.

Mac will not lose. Anyone who thinks Tommy has a chance is just trying to turn dirt into gold. It's not gonna happen.

The guy who had the best shot just got KO'd by Tommy.
