last year my son, Ian, won team 'defensive player of the year' on junior varsity, as a freshman and i was proud as hell.

this year he made the varsity team as a sophmore and i was proud as hell.

then he made STARTING middle linebacker on varsity as a sophmore and i was proud as hell.

tonight we went to the football banquet and he WON DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR on varsity as a sophmore and i am proud as hell.

congratulations, IAN WOODEN!!!!

he led the team with 119 tackles in 9 games and he sat one game out with an injury. he also had 5 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries and 5 sacks. :D

LOVE YA SON :D

thanks for listening to a proud dad :D

Gives you a feeling few can share, eh Jack? :)

sorry to keep bringing this up but.....

i'm still so excited and proud i can't even think straight :)

the award was a total surprise because only seniors got the other awards. i was so happy when they said his name that i almost cried.

all during little league fb and baseball Ian got locked out because all the coach's sons always got the awards but that shit doesn't happen in high school :D
