anyone playing katsidis here?
i see this as an easy and ideal match-up for juan diaz, for fairly obvious reasons. im considering even laying the chalk here, as i have enough on guzman already and not much parlay material before sept. 6
diaz big, diaz inside medium. katsidis cant and wont control the distance, and he doesnt have the posture and skillset that nate did. nate could created distance needed for uppercuts and hook shots with his longer arms whille keeping his head tucked it, i see katsidis being too close, too squared-shouldered, too open, and juan's short arms punishing him all night.
we know katsidis will be bloodied, that shoulg get the stoppage win around 9. i learned a hard lesson on the ko/tkio prop when judah bitched out, i dont want to risk a ref calling the cut a headbutt and going to the cards, it's only ITD for me here.
maybe katsidis will be ahead early as he manages to temporarily elude diaz and keep a sligh distance to thhrow straight punches, but by the mid-rounds it will be a phone-booth fight bauilt on body work and uppcuts, in diaz/s control. katsidis cant and wont keep a distance and fire straight combination shiots, and it is unlikely he will get diaz on the ropes. i dont think diaz has the power to counter-knockout katsidis like casamayor did, but katsidis wont be the one pressing, and there wont be much distance between them.
