Anyone have? I've read it can be buggy- would you recommend it?

I didn't switch because it was one less recording option 6 w/2 DVR's vs 5 W/1 Genie.

interested to know how it performs as well

Yes I too would like to bang the genie.

Anyone know the difference between having the Genie and the extra boxes to make it work vs having a few dvrs? Apparently it's the ability to record like 5 shows and be watching some but I don't think we need that much?

I have it and it is very buggy. The main "Genie" works great, but I have 4 other receivers that should be able to play what is recorded and it often says program unavailable or lost while recording. Then I have to reset the Genie and then I am able to watch all recorded programs again. By often, I mean its probably been 6 times over the past 8 months, so not to bad but a fucking annoyance when you want to watch the new recorded Teen Mom.

The positive is that you only need one LARGE box the other ones are very small and can easily be mounted and hidden if you ever plan on hanging a tv.

Hedman, perfect, thanks so much. That was the consensus from what I've read- buggy with frequent resets. I think we'll just get another separate DVR or two vs. the genie.
