Yeah, that would be a tough call though. I love the shielding/face-guarding rule but I think that's more for when you don't look back and use your arms to inhibit the receiver's vision.
If you run with the WR and put a hand up that instantly knocks the ball away with no contact...that's fine to me. Not to mentions, LB's get away with murder when it comes to not turning around.
I see both sides on that one, would have been a tough 40 yard penalty though on what was pretty good defense, given the fact that the ball was thrown late in the first place.
