if it was a photo opportunity where the president went to a va hospital & came upon the injured vet wearing shorts....i see no problem with a picture being taken.
however, if it is some kind of ceremony like this is then proper attire & protocol should be followed...which means no tee-shirts, shorts, or flip-flops.
you guys are doing what you accuse the conservatives of doing.....your hatred of bush has clouded your judgement..people have to respect the office of the presidency no matter what party is in office....
and as man o' vegas has suggested...you guys are looking foolish....but hey it's only the internet & it's your decision to come off any way you want...
