I have about 25 domain names that I don't really do anything with. I know many people here probably own some domain names here and there (Jack -- I know you do). Do any of you participate in domain parking while you are not using them? If so, what service do you use?

I have seen www.sedo.com in several places. They are a partner of the site that I use to buy domains, www.1and1.com.

Any advice or insight will be appreciated.

i let a few slide and get bought a couple years ago and i have some, i'm sure, that i can't even remember the names.

i'm not really into buying domain names.

I don't own anything that is magnificent, but from what I have read it doesn't cost you anything to have your domain parked. You just split any ad revenue generated. Many of the names that I own have to do with future business ventures I would like to start.

A few examples are:

www.heismantrophywinner.com
www.heismantrophyaward.com

I think one of these has some generic template on there as I was playing with some of the free tools from the registrant.

Heavens no Jack--you know better than that--don't remember when I set it up but it when I-G was still a forum/per links-thats 5 or 6 years ago. Pay has never nor will ever be consideration--have too much fun as is.
Golf would be tough sport for high rollers--too small limits --lines move too fast--books will ban or limit you in heartbeat.
However intersting== golf is rising fast in Asian and word is they are ready to open it up in casiono's like Macau in China and elsewhere. If that happens it could be a quite lucrative out without effecting offshore lines--just speculation for now :)

Wanted to update on this. I went ahead and used ww.sedo.com to park my domains for me. As far as I can tell, they just put Google-type ads up on my sites and take a cut of it. The service doesn't cost anything, so I guess it's better than just letting them sit there.

For an idea, look at:

www.nashville615.com
www.heismantrophyaward.com

I think if anyone is sitting on some domain names, this would be a smart more. More than likely, this will generate very little (if any) income but to renew the sites doesn't cost much. So we will see.

Ya'll should have jumped on the bandwagon when you had a chance!

I have made a dime since my last post.

Unfortunately, it is a silver dime instead of half of what Worm stiffed Jack for.
