there was a report that the ravens dangled terell suggs and their 1st round pick to move up to get ryan....and ravens` fans at their blog went nuts....
truth is,suggs is one of the most overrated players in football...he disappaears for games at a atime...one dimensional...tand that dimension(pass rusher) isn`t exceptional...
i guess st louis realized that suggs is a poser...smart move...congrats to atlanta...

dorsey is just sitting there...maybe the best player in the draft...
saints are offering kc #1 & #2 this year & #1 for next year..if i was kc i would jump on it...

I echo all who say about how fun of a day this is.
And, like my fellow Steelers fans above....I agree we have a lot of holes, not just OL, we dont have enough picks and, holy crap, that slate scares the chit out of me. But, here's some hope: 8-8 might win that division and/or I still feel we can go 4-2 or better vs division foes.

I think Dorsey's a stud. More likely to start the season and be more of an impact player. Ryan has no line to protect him. I really don't like taking a quarterback w/ my # 1 pick. Too much bust potential IMO. I really thought this was a no brainer pick especially with the defensive minded Smith. I smell an Arthur Blank pick here w/ help from Billy Knight.

I am ok with the pick because it means that Vick will never play again for the Falcons.
I think in a few years Ryan will be a game changer.
Now they have to get offensive and defensive lineman and they will have a good draft.
Scott I don't think Vick was ever going to play for the Falcons again. I think we just lost out on a guy who would've anchored our D line for years.
i agree i think blank's prints are all over this pick. i don't think that the falcs will put him in until he is ready & until they feel that the o-line will be able to protect him....from what i have read the o-line has many prospects in the draft this year..

ravens exchanged 1`s and got 2 3`s and a 4 for their spot in the 1st round....
given the way things unfolded,i think it was smart...i hope they look at this flacco kid at 26 or the 8th pick in the 2nd round.......

Could not agree any more. I am not convinced that Ryan is any better that Brohm, Flacco or even Henne. Like a lot here, I watch a ton of football. Ryan was good and nearly helped BC step up another level, but at no point did I watch him and say 'oh yeah, there's the next great NFL great.'
I could not disagree more with Steve Young who has said multple times today that Ryan was the only franchise QB in this or next years draft.
Dorsey is a stud. I would have picked him at 3 and if a QB is also a need take one of those other three in the next round.
ESPN is talking about Desean Jackson to Buffalo, but I have two close friends who live and breath the Bills and they want a corner back.
