They have unmanned vans that sit in construction zones that are equipped with radar and cameras. I think they started using them last year for the 1st time. From what I heard off the radio, these Orwellian beasts gave 675 tickets last year.

Key #1

1st offense----$375:scared

2nd offense----$1000 and suspension of DL:scared :scared

Key #2

Sometimes there will be NO actual construction work being done. NO construction workers or activated construction equipment. If the state labels it a construction zone, you get a ticket whether it's totally dead or not. They are closing off whole lanes right now in stretches that won't be seeing ANY work being done for some time but will be monitored.

On the course!
I appreciate you getting me going two days before my Vegas trip, bud.

We have the "tell-tale" barrels perched along the highway waiting to be pulled out today, as a matter of fact, to start about another 25 mile strecth of improvement this summer/fall.

I love how they have you down to one fuking lane doing 45mph, while they work on a 100 yard piece of road in that 25 mile stretch! You know they must just laugh their asses off. And, of course, they drive their pick ups and rigs at 35 while going to and from the work site!

Yeah.....it must be a real hoot for them.......laughing away at the suckers they are fuking with.

Then, when the day is done, who are the pick ups blowing in and out of both lanes at 80mph? Passing everyone in sight, after tailgating for an open spot to whip over into? That's right! The guys with the construction lables on the door, and the cute bumper sticker on the back that says, "Give 'Em a Break".

The same coksucker who you didn't see doing a fuking thing when you drove past earlier in the day!

Give 'Em a Break??????

I say, "Give 'Em a Finger!"

They have those vans down here also. They put them on highways and streets. Wifey got a ticket last week going 40 in a 30.

Also they put cameras up on top of red lights to see if you are running red lights and also to see if your speeding.

the good thing about those tickets are you don't get any points on your driving record.

Only on good days. The rest of the time I have other 4 letter words for them.:D

I have been lobbying for months now to get them to raise the toll on 94 near the border here. I'd like to see something like $10 per car, $1 per car with WI plates on it.

More and more of my neighborhood is starting to look orange and blue.

I prefer "Illlanerds"

And those phukers drive at least 85 in Iowa; when I look in the rearview mirror and there is a car bearing down on me like I'm standing still; 99.999% of the time its got Illannoy plates on it..

They suspended that law here in davenport-it was a city ordinance rather than a state-wide one(just after I got a ticket for running a red light) there is a court case pending saying that the law isn't fair because the owner of the car rather than the driver gets the ticket...I hope the case wins, I want my 65 dollars back..:mj07:

only 85?

That was one of the weaker Illinois drivers and I would not let him into my treehouse.

Next time pull your horse cart over to a more productive driver.
