The detective was also drunk and made an illegal traffic stop.
His car was unmarked and he was off duty. Just goes to show you that the citizens of this country have continuously had to tolerate this shit for decades but now with technology advances people are able to record and publish the incidents and they are coming to bear. This isn't a new problem just an ignored one.

I do deliveries in that area and know the Rotary they were on well.....Those kids/young adults were fucking around, no way in hell they "made a mistake" going head on into traffic at that circle.....In Mass there are many Rotary Circles all with clear signage, they were being jerks cutting across and it bite them in the ass..... the first words heard from the passenger when the truck went along side was "you wanna play buddy".....

Once the kids realized they were fucking with a cop, they didn't escalate the problem they challenged with respect.....
I was impressed with the 2nd cop, explained what was happening and gave advice to tell their side in court.....

The kid deserves a citation for careless operation of a motor vehicle. Cop deserves a DUI and loss of his job for threatening to kill the kid.

instead of a 4 way stop or light you have a yield circle to enter and exit to the street you want....

Sport we call them roundabouts & I used to do quite a bit of driving in the metro area . I've seen people completely confused when approaching Not yielding,cutting people off to get to exit. Especially seniors & kids not paying attention.
I suck at those, which kills me when driving in europe, where they are very common. We have 1 in nola, but is has traffic lights and we share it with street cars
We just got a few put in in my area and Texas drivers suck as it is. I see people going through them pretty often. Until they get used to them I'm sure it will happen again.
The kid got a citation and it was his car that recorded the incident. The truck driver was the detective I believe.
The kid handled himself well and so did the beat cop. The detective threatened to blow a hole in the kids head. Years gone by this would or could have been much worse.
