Should be a great game tonight.

I will be rooting for Butler to take out Michigan St in the first game.

I like the way that matchs up for a final national championship game wager.

Plus it would be a cinderella story for Butler to be able to pull that off.

Alot of interest would be generated by that match up.

GO DUKE !

West Virginia's Joe Mazzulla Charged With Domestic Battery

Johnston, Rhode Island native, Joe Mazzulla; looks to be in hot water again at West Virginia, via ProJo Sports:

Joe Mazzulla?s future with the West Virginia basketball team is very much in jeopardy because of Mazzulla?s second arrest involving alcohol-related problems.

The 20-year-old Johnson resident has been indefinitely suspended by Mountaineer coach Bob Huggins after his arrest last week on charges of domestic battery. He was involved in an incident at The Lazy Lizard bar in Morgantown in which he allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck.

It was the second arrest for the Hendricken High grad. He pleaded guilty to charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after an incident last September at a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game in which he had a disagreement with security personnel.

?Joe is suspended indefinitely from all basketball related activities,? Huggins said in a statement issued through the school?s sports communications office. ?We take violations of our team rules very seriously.?

Huggins will have no further comment on the situation at this time, the statement said. Bryan Messerly, the school?s contact for men?s basketball, said Monday that there is no timetable for the issue to be resolved.

Hoops Stars Escape from Village of West Virginia, Go on Rampage

Jul-29-08 4:02pm

Several west virginia university hoops stars escaped from the village, fled to the big city of pittsburgh and allegedly took part in baseball, booze and mixed martial arts.

according to the AP:

Two West Virginia University basketball players were charged with scuffling with police and underage drinking after a fight at a Pittsburgh Pirates game.

Joe Mazzulla and Cameron Thoroughman were arrested Monday at PNC Park, where the Pirates were playing the Colorado Rockies. The two were in custody and awaiting arraignment Tuesday.

we?ve all been busted for underage drinking. illegal drug use. fornicating in public using sexual positions on females that are still illegal in alabama.

but we ain?t never slugged a police officer. that?s just plain stupid.

ooops. forgot these dudes are from west virginia.

.................................................................

This was the 2008 incident.

I looked but couldnt really find any thug life type incidents on the Duke team.

I dont think this was too smart to give Duke this kind of locker room ammo.

I hope Coach K has this posted on the door as the players enter the stadium

1. Get on the right side

2. Reduce your risk

3. Don't be a homer

4. Reduce the plays you make

5. Cash the ticket

6. No woman, No children

7. I smell money and it smells green

I think I just got to back off now from fletcher as I do respect what he does and has done at madjacks for many years.

But I can't help but think he learned a few things sitting behind the mountaineers bench watching the West Virginia players cry after the game.

Sure wish he would have took me up on the offer for a big play with me taking Duke. I think he would have payed me unlike beantowjim stiffing him.

I still haven't made a play on this game or the other one yet but I am leaning, like yourself, towards the Dukies on the moneyline. The question I have for you scott is why not Duke at +145 to win the whole tournament? Below are the current odds for futures on thegreek.

Duke +145
WV +215
Butler +425
MSU +465

It seems to me like this might be the smarter play because we know if Duke wins they are going to the be the favorite and most likely a -4 to -6 favorite in the championship game.

We good value on Duke at +145 and for those that like free money assuming Duke wins you can play the other side in the championship game.

Again I haven't made a play just wanted to see what your thoughts are on this. Respect your plays and think it is Win-Win.

You act like WVU has no chance in what you post and say, like they should not even be there.

Well dukes stats do not blow wvu away and who they played does not either. not saying who will win yet but Duke will not score at will against wvu and wvu is faster then duke in this match-up.

In the Baylor game Coach K had a hella rotation going. He seems to know just when to take guys in and out at the optimum levels. Its one of the things that makes him such a great Coach.

This game is going to be lost by the WV point guard, Joe Mazzulla. You know the one that was inserted after their other point guard went down and out. And the other guy had his own point guard issues. Mazzulla is under a 40% shooter.

Joe Mazzulla is normally not a huge scoring threat. He played great against Kentucky cutting to the basket, but I think that was part of Kentuckys game plan to have him shoot the ball so much.
They wanted to keep it out of DeSean Butlers hands as much as possible.

I doubt we will see Masslla driving inside like he did against Kentucky. Duke will body him up and force him to the right.

Duke full court press will also take it out of Joe Mazzulla's hands if need be.

This was key to the winning play.

Coach K knew to shut Joey M down, frustrate him, and the game would be won by his team.
He was the point guard wasn't he :SIB

Note - I did not see Truck even move from the bench with that huge wrap on his foot.

The way I know , is the way I go.

Ya gotta admire someone with the Cajones ta stand his ground and above all be RIGHT!!!!

...................................................................

thanks hammertime.

I was really pumped for this game. As motley would say.

it felt good, it felt real good.

A mark of a good capper is extreme confidence in the plays they make. And the other is that I hate, hate, hate, hate ..... to lose. Its a good combination that works for me.

I do not like the fact that there is so little time now before the championship game. Hard to tell if the injurys on the Butler team are real or imagined. I don't think Coach Stevens is going to tell us much.

Can't rush this play.

This is for all the marbles. I am thinking of slamming it down, and I mean hard.

Alot of times I do not take Line movement to justify a play that I make. But line movement is going to be extremely important to me in this final winning wager.

Patience is the key with a final play in March
Madness.
