Happy Thanksgiving

Great Call Tonight!!! These plays seemed pretty bold to me, based on the not so distant past. That's why you're the expert!!

Thanks for the help, Topdog

Very nice Nolan! Was on the Raider's as well.

HOME FAVS OFF A BYE are only hitting about 40 percent historically over the past five seasons (they are a terrible bet).

Nolan,

Interesting angle you mentioned about the Home favorite's off a bye week. Granted most home teams are favored, but I'm interested if you would happen to have a % of what all (not just favorites) home teams off a bye are covering?? Was also curious if you or anyone knows right off hand the percentage this season......I'm almost positive it's not even near 40% for this year. Truely a very meaningful angle in my opinion.I think bettors actually feel the bye week is beneficial for these home teams thus getting a little more line value for the road bettors.....true, maybe physically beneficial if the team is beat up, but definately not mentally which can be the most key thing in a game. Just seems like the majority of these home favs off a bye are just not mentally prepared for the game...they're still thinking about the mini family vacation, or what ever they did during the bye, but they are definately not in that football mindset yet.

Again great job last night :toast:

TJBELL,
I went to bed shortly after the game ended, and slept well. :)
I never made as many wagers on one game as I did on Oakland last night. Quarters, Halfs, Totals, & Props. Just about everything hit. :D
I even went against my own theory of never betting against a losing streak. I figured if Nolan was willing to do it, who am I to disagree.

BTW, I live about 20 minutes from Mad Jack himself (if he still lives in Accident), in Frostburg. :D

Hi Mad Jack,
When you said last year that you were planning on moving some time, and you were looking for potential home sites, I expected a move to Las Vegas, or Boca Raton, or at least some place that didn't have miserable Winters. And here you are moving closer to me. :)
Winter may be less miserable in Grantsville than in Accident, but not by much.

 Think Spring!

NDNFAN:

Thanks for the question. Let me run some numbers on this and post later the results. I want to run this back several years and see what roles where this is strongest.

I'll look forward to coattailing you in baseball again next season. :)
